"From what I remember, about a moon. So, that means I've got about a moon left." Finchsong lay down in the nest, looking at the other queens. "What are your names?"
(I can help you with names if you want)

(YUSS!)
"I'm Eagle Flying at Dusk and that's Sky that Dances with Color and Lily that Rests Upon the Water." Dusk said, pointing to the others in turn.

"Wow, you tribe cats have very long names." Finchsong laughed. "Is it alright if I called you Dusk, Sky, and Lily? I call Lark that Sings at Dawn, Lark."

Sky nodded. "That's fine Finchsong."

"Thanks." Finchsong smiled. "The warriors naming system is a bit confusing as well, and if you become leader you'll have had four different names in your lifetime!"

Dusk's eyes widened. "Wow, really?"

Finchsong nodded. "Say I were to become leader. When I was born, my name was Finchkit. At six moons old, I became an apprentice and took on the name Finchpaw. Then, at around twelve moons, I received my full name, Finchsong. And if I were to become leader, my name would change for the last time to Finchstar."

"Woah! That's neat! Is there a particular system in names?"

"Well, all kits have 'kit' as their suffix, apprentices have 'paw', leaders have 'star', and there are hundreds of different suffixes for warriors. For example, my suffix is 'song', and Oakleaf's is 'leaf'. Generally they're something from nature, and certain names are sacred. A kit could not be named Starkit, Moonkit, or anything of that sort because if that kit became leader, wouldn't Starstar be a strange name?" Finchsong laughed. "I don't actually know the specific reason, just that it's forbidden."

Dusk nodded. Sky spoke up. "Whose Oakleaf?"

"Oh, he's… my mate, I suppose. The father of my kits. He should be around here somewhere… perhaps hunting? He was complaining about how hungry he was."

"Flufffffimheres." He murmured, turning up behind a rock, he looked like he fell in a pool of mud and died and then was carried off by a eagle.

"Oakleaf! What happened to you? Did you fall out of the trees? Or into the river again?"

He let out a snort, "No…. I.. uh… Slipped and fell near a place that must not be named…"

"Lovely. Well, ladies, this is Oakleaf. I promise he generally looks quite a bit… cleaner."

Dusk chuckled. "I believe it."

Nodding, he turned away and began cleaning himself.

"So, Oakleaf. What's the plan? The kits stay with me and my sister takes care of them?"
