"Not much," Melissa admitted. "Are you… embarrassed about it? Reading about the wizarding world, I mean."
"Not much," Melissa admitted. "Are you… embarrassed about it? Reading about the wizarding world, I mean."
"Should I be?" Zyra asked, looking a bit confused.
"N-No," she said quickly, worried she'd said something wrong. "You just looked embarrassed, that's all." Her voice got quieter and quieter with every word.
"Sorry about that, I didn't want to seem like a nerd or anything." Zyra admitted. Idiot, now you made yourself seem look stupid.
"You're not," Melissa assured her quietly.
"Oh, thanks." Zyra mumbled, looking out the window.
Melissa winced. "I'm sorry… I'm not very good at talking to people…"
"It's fine, I'm also bad at talking to people sometimes." Zyra reassured her. "So, what house do you think you'll be in?"
"I'm not sure," she replied quietly. She didn't bother to mention that both of her parents were Slytherins.
"Oh, okay then." Zyra muttered awkwardly, staring out the window again.
Melissa bit her lip. She always ruined everything. The people in this compartment had been having a nice conversation before she'd come over and ruined it.
Zyra silently cursed herself for being an awkward idiot. Idiot, idiot, idiot, idiot, idiot, idiot, idiot, idiot.
Cedar chose this moment to speak up. "Hey Melissa, want any candy? I have some Chocolate Frogs and an unopened box of Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans. And some Drooble's chewing gum… and I think one more sugar quill? You're welcome to whatever you'd like. I got too much anyways," he offered, gesturing to the pile he'd left next to his seat. "Wait, you grew up always knowing about magic, right? Do you know anything about Hogwarts, specifically? We talked about the houses, traits and stereotypes of the houses and the heads of the houses, but I think that's about all we know…" he trailed off questioningly.
She took a Chocolate Frog shyly and whispered a thank you. As he kept talking, she listened to his questions. "Yes, I've always know I was going to be a witch," she said quietly. "I had an older sister who went here as well. What about Hogwarts would you like to know?"

Aza had been quietly sitting in the corner the entire time, eyes sparkling. She enjoyed listening to other people's conversations (which was slightly creepy but whatever). Nebula had hopped off her lap and was sniffing the white cat's ear curiously.
Zyra went back to reading her book, occasionally listening to their conversation. She leaned against the wall of the train as she read, letting her hair fall into her face if it didn't block her vision.
(I was wondering if I could join. I have been wanting to join a Harry Potter Rp for a long time. If not sorry for bothering. If so it there a required form for characters?)
(You'll have to wait for Rocky to let you in, but I can tell you that, yes, there is a required character template! ;)
(You can join sorry I’ve had work and I also have a stem fair to work on so my schedule is a bit wonky)

Cedar was quiet for a minute as he thought. "Well, we were wondering earlier if anyone knew what the common rooms looked like?" he wondered aloud, glancing at Melissa questioningly. His attention diverted slightly when he noticed the other cat with Aspen, and he smiled a little.
Melissa nodded slowly. "Well, I know that the Slytherin common room has lots of couches and is kinda dark. I heard Gryffindor's has a fireplace, and Ravenclaw's must have loads of bookshelves…"
"Ravenclaw is clearly the best," Aza interjected.
Melissa blinked, startled a bit. "Oh, yes. It does s-sound nice…"
