"Same here! Which house do you think is the best?"
"Same here! Which house do you think is the best?"
"The best house? Hmm…" Scipio thought for a moment. "I'm not sure, as such a choice would be subjective. As to the house I think I'll be in, that would be Slytherin. Because of that… perhaps I think Slytherin is best? Its members are clever and ambitious, which are typically good qualities… although I have heard Gryffindor talked highly of by most people other than my family."
"Yea, that's because the great Albus Dumbledore himself was in Gryffindor," Zyra mumbled. "But there are also other famous wizards from Slytherin."
Scipio nodded. "I think Slytherin gets a bad reputation because villains have come out of that house, but people tend to forget about the villains from other houses. Cunning and ambition just happen to be good qualities for villains." He shrugged a bit. (He's an advocate for Slytherin rights lol)
(Lol same here with Zyra)
"Yea, but being smart and creative are also good traits for villains," Zyra added on, her eyes lighting up just a bit.
"Mhm. And snakes are usually portrayed as evil as well, even when not connected to the Slytherin house, which doesn't help the reputation of being evil."
"That too, they think everything about Slytherin is bad. On top of that, everyone thinks all Slytherins are mean and are Death Eaters or are close to The Dark Lord."
Scipio nodded slightly. He didn't personally agree with the Dark Lord's views, but his father was/is (idk when this is set) a Death Eater. He had little reason to believe Slytherins could be good, and yet, here he was. A good (ish) Slytherin. "I've met Death Eaters." He said softly, looking at the wall absently. "And I can tell you, they're not the majority. Very few people are quite as cold and… merciless, as a Death Eater." (Whoops he kinda has daddy issues but it's not that bad)
(I think it's during the Marauders Era and I feel bad for Scipio)
"Well, there is a reason as to why they're called Death Eaters." Zyra replied, not wanting it to be gloomy.
"True. Those kind of people are the ones the Dark Lord chooses, no?" Scipio smiled softly, trying to not kill the mood or anything. (Since his dad's a Death Eater he was always taught to call Voldemort 'the Dark Lord' so that's why he does that)
"I think so, and they have to stay loyal to him til the end." Zyra smiled back, glancing out the window.
"Yep. To the end…" Scipio wasn't entirely sure how to feel about this. Of course, it meant that his father must die one way or another, but he couldn't decide how bad that would really be. He shook his head ever so slightly, trying to clear up the dark thoughts.
"Unless, Voldemort dies or gets killed," Zyra mumbled a bit more quietly.
"True, but unfortunately, that seems rather unlikely at the moment." Scipio actually didn't react when Zyra said Voldemort's actual name, which was a bit surprising.
He spoke suddenly a bit late “was it really loyalty or was it just fear?”
Scipio looked over at Jackson. "Hmm? Well… I suppose it's a bit of both, isn't it? Most of the Dark Lord's followers share his views and are loyal to him because he is a strong leader, albeit not a very moral one. However, they fear him because he is powerful, and you do not want to get on his bad side. Ever." He shuddered slightly.
Zyra sighed a bit sadly as she nodded. "Yea, but if I ever have the chance to kill him, I will gladly take the opportunity."
(Scipio's father doesn't typically hit him or anything, but other death eaters have before) "You'd be quite foolish to try, if I might say." Scipio said in a flat tone, turning his gaze to the ground. "Quite brave, I suppose most people would say, but quite foolish."
(Must protect Scipio)
"Foolish, I know, but I think I know enough spells to not be dead the first minute," Zyra replied, going over all the spells she knew.
"Er… if you plan on killing the Dark Lord, perhaps you should wait until we have learned some proper offensive spells? I know a couple of Italian spells that I have taught myself, but to my understanding, those spells are not taught at Hogwarts."
"I know, I would probably be killed within the first five minutes," Zyra answered. "Also, what Italian spells do you know?"
"Um, I know Crea Spada, which creates a sword out of thin air… I know Scudo, which is basically just a shield… and Stordimento, which is a stunning spell that I hear is quite similar to your 'Stupefy'." Scipio listed off the spells, twirling his wand between his fingers as he did so.
"What about Flipendo?" Aza jumped in.
“Flipendo?” Scipio seemed confused. “No, that is not an Italian spell.”
He was very interested to here from people who knew so much about wizardry and just listened in silence
