"Okay," Patton said, then going to get everyone together for a meeting.
"Okay," Patton said, then going to get everyone together for a meeting.
(This'll be my last post for tonight, sleep beckons and I must answer. G'bye for now, sorry!)
Virgil appeared in his place in the living room, eyes red and puffy. Logan looked absolutely furious, and Patton, like the dad he was, seemed concerned. Virgil couldn't tell what Roman was feeling, which was unusual given how emotional the creative side normally was.
(Bye! Also, it's fine. I am talking to a few people on Wattpad and working on a project there as well, so I'm busy anyway)
"If anyone's wondering why we called this meeting, it's because we're worried about you guys. You just aren't yourselves," Patton said.
(Ooh, what sort of project? I can deduce it's for writing but y'know, I'm curious as you seem to be a pretty good writer yourself and idk it just sounds like it must be interesting sorry.)
"Roman's losing his grip, enough said." Logan stated with false politeness.
(It's not actually a writing project. I have a couple of those to work on, but it's a nice project. It's actually a project to spread positivity. I'll explain if you'd like)
"Can you tell us how? I'd like to know how bad it is and fix it. I don't like seeing you guys like this!" Patton said..
"I don't know what's going on either, which doesn't happen. I'm Logic, I should understand everything!" he said, grabbing his hair and twisting it at the roots. "Well, you don't, we don't, let's just call it a day and assume this is the apocalypse." Virgil said.
"Guys, look, no matter if we don't know what's going on, we can help them, and possibly fix this. I don't want this to be happening!" Patton said.
"I have no idea what's going on, but it isn't good. We need to solve this problem, Thomas depends on it." Logan said.
"Hopefully we can solve it and fix it before it gets even worse than it already is," Patton said.
"If it gets worse we may have to consider bringing Thomas into the discussion. He can't know that his mind has, well, broken, but he can't go on like this either. So we either fix it and soon or people start to notice that he's losing his motivation for a third time." Logan analysed.
"Yeah. I just want everything to end up being okay," Patton said.
"So we know Patton is fine, Virgil is being his typical anxious self, there isn't anything wrong with me because I'm me, now all we have to do is fix Roman and everything will be fine, right?" Logan asked. "Ya know Logan, maybe you're getting your ego a little too up in everything." Virgil said. "You aren't really looking at the bigger picture. Patton is naturally empathetic to the situation, yes, but unnaturally concerned. He's on the verge of paranoia, honestly. And Roman, yes, I do see problems in his unusually mopey behavior, but you're being too hard on him and making life nearly impossible for him, and by extent us, by picking fights. I don't know what we'll be doing about He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Referred-To-By-Name-In-Conversation," Virgil obviously meant Deceit, "But he's obviously just trying to mess with everyone's heads, so just ignore it." Virgil sighed. "And why am I, the typical problem causer, the only one trying to solve this?"
"I really don't know. We all need to try and solve this," Patton said.
"Well I'm not going to take it all on. Logan, Roman, what do you think we can assess from what's happening?" Virgil said. Logan seemed deep in thought on this, puzzled by it all.
"I have no idea. All I really know is that we're all starting to fall apart, and what I'm getting from that is nothing. It's not like it's easy, either, as Logan does keep bothering me, which makes it all worse," Roman said.
"Excuse me? Worse? I'm trying to help!" Logan sputtered in surprise and offense.
"Logan, he's not trying to be rude here. He's just in a bad mood," Patton said.
"Shut up, Patton. You never help, you just make jokes and pretend it's okay when it isn't. You're a liar, you're worse than-" Logan felt Virgil staring daggers into him, a chill spreading across the room. "Finish the sentence, Logan, I f***ing dare you." Virgil bit out. He didn't mind that the cussing was bleeped out, it always was in the mindscape. He still made a point.
Patton said nothing. He knew what Logan was going to say before Virgil had cut him off. He tried so hard not to cry, but it failed quite quickly.
"I won't apologize before you ask." Logan said. Virgil glared. "Yeah, you won't. And Patton is nothing like him-" "Who, me?" Deceit rose up by Roman. "We weren't even talking about you! Not by name anyways! Get out! Out!" Virgil roared, but didn't move. "Well," Deceit caressed Roman's shoulder, "someone's getting a little angry. I wonder why?" he asked. Virgil's eyeshadow looked darker all of a sudden. "What are you doing, because I know this is your fault somehow." he spat to Deceit.
The mindscape was becoming a mess. The Sides were all just arguing. Patton completely broken, Roman's creativity gone, Logan's sense of logic becoming more of completely rudeness, or even insanity, Virgil being the only one trying to help, and even Deceit was off.
"Patton, just stay where you are. I'm handling this." said Virgil, looking at the room with a calculated eye. He knew Thomas would eventually realize something was wrong with his sides all out of balance, even Virgil himself he had to admit, but if they could resolve this before he called on them it would be fine. RIght? Right?
The others were silent. Tired of this argument, confused as to what was going on, and not knowing if it could it better, they really didn't know how to act or what to say anymore in the current situation.
"Well, I'm definitely not getting tired of this quarrel. Roman, darling, come with me now. It's perfectly safe, and I've taken away your ability to say no either way. Bye bye now, Virgil," Deceit grinned, sinking down into the floor and forcing Roman with him. "Don't!" shouted Logan desperately. But why would he care, Virgil wondered, while at the same time feeling angry and scared and useless.
Roman wanted to stop this. He wanted to fight Deceit off. He just wanted Deceit to leave him alone, and to stop messing with him. Deceit bothering and messing with him did not help any of his problems.
