"You're lying, aren't you? Hold that, of course you are. You still do believe me. Well, this makes things not difficult at all." said Deceit.
"He won't let Roman go without a fight, so we'll give him one." Virgil said to Patton.
"You're lying, aren't you? Hold that, of course you are. You still do believe me. Well, this makes things not difficult at all." said Deceit.
"He won't let Roman go without a fight, so we'll give him one." Virgil said to Patton.
"Okay. We will get Roman back," said Patton.
"Patton, I don't think it'll be as easy as you seem to believe it to be. Deceit is slippery, he'll be up faster than you knocked him down, and he knows every pressure point on you and me. He'll tell you the truth, and I don't mean having a heart to heart, I mean he'll say the things that will hurt you most." Virgil monologued. "Because he knows it all. When you think you're winning, it's only because he's letting you. I… I can't lose anyone else to him, okay?!" Virgil began to hyperventilate, waves of anxiety, further, full on paranoia, throughout the mindscape.
"Please calm down. I know it'll be hard, but we can still him back," said Patton.
"What if we don't? What if I lose you? I can't, c-c-can't have that… that again." Virgil sobbed.
"Listen honey, you've been screwing up from the start. Why don't you just let me take the reigns for a while and manage the mindscape?" Deceit asked.
"Virgil, it'll be okay. You won't lose me and we'll get Roman back," said Patton.
"No," said Roman.
"Well, I…" Deceit didn't even know what to say. He knew he would never be accepted, so he had to force his was in. But there was always the… other option.
Before Virgil had become a part of the Core Sides, the Light Sides, he had been a Dark Side. And he and Deceit had been friends. They really did care for each other, they stuck together through anything for a time, but Deceit just hated to see Virgil spend more and more time with the opposing sides, away from him. Deceit never really fit in much, and Virgil was one of the few he really could rely on, could trust, could love… and Virgil had left. Left him, alone, proving how much of a worthless and good for nothing snake he was.
"Roman. I'll let you go. But… can I borrow something?" Deceit asked.
"Thanks Patton. I should worry less, you're right. We will get Roman back." Virgil said, assembling a feeble, but still there, amount of courage.
(I am so sorry for taking this long to reply. I went on vacation but you replied too late for me to tell you. I'm back now!)
"What is it that you want to borrow?" Roman asked.
"Yep!" Patton said.
(Ohhh, no problemo, mi amigo/amiga. Also, if the plot doesn't make sense for a tiny bit it's because this is roleplay, you don't take stuff back, and I had two directions I wanted to go with my Sympathetic Deceit arc thingy and I was initially going for the first one but now I want to use my second idea so… uh, yeah. Sorry about that. And also, this has been a long bit of commentary, but I'm also sorry for not responding. I too was on vacation, camping where Wi-Fi was long gone. Like, in the woods. By a very pretty lake. But… yeah. Sooo…. basically, sorry. And I hope you had a great vacation, by the way!!!)
"It's idiotic, I suppose. Forget it." Deceit said, shadows crossing his face.
"Deceit's room. Rooms. He has more than one, for some reason, but I think I know how we could get Roman out of there." Virgil said.
(Oh, I was in at a beautiful place with a lake, but there was absolutely no Internet or service, as it was in the middle of nowhere. It's fine, by the way! Half of my replies in my other role plays make absolutely no sense anyway, as I get way too many ideas while typing or just think way too quickly and leave like half the reply out on accident)
"Okay then…" Roman said.
"How?" Patton asked.
"Just… it's a sword. I don't want to test a theory. And you do have more than one death katana… thing." Deceit waved a hand. "It doesn't matter."
"Well, he's a weird guy, but we have to think like him. Where would be take Roman? There's three places I know of, the place where he manages Thomas's lies to himself on what he wants to believe, then the one to others, and what he wishes wasn't true. Oh, and just the general kinda "lying space" or something, but that's just where he stays when he's bored and hasn't got anything better to do. I know him well enough, he an I-well, that's not a big deal. Let's get Princey and get out of here." Virgil rolled his eyes.
(I am so sorry. I was typing a really long reply. I know my replies here are short, but I can think up really long ones at times, though it's easier in fandoms I've role played a lot)
"Okay then…" Roman said.
"Okay," Patton said.
(No biggie! And honestly, I would maybe like slightly longer replies to work with to keep the plot going and have a little more substance and flexibility, but you do what's best for you.)
"Why, I'm definitely not grateful for your assistance, darling. You can't go anytime you'd hate." Deceit said nonchalantly.
"Okay, so what's the plan when we get there? Deceit's a slimy snake who knows what to do to get at us, how will we go about this?" Virgil said.
(I'm trying my hardest. I love this fandom, but role playing it is new to me. My other fandoms, like The Hunger Games, Harry Potter, BTS, and Jacksepticeye and Markiplier I've role played longer, having role played them on Wattpad before I made this account, which makes longer replies easier. I love this role play, though! I also have three others running as well, but I'll try)
"Deceit, this is getting weird for dealing with you," Roman said.
It was true what he said, Deceit changing his mind so quickly, saying lies that were better lies than truths, that it did seem odd. Not at all like the usual Deceit who liked to mess with the Sides, keep them hostage, and tell lies that would be way better as truths.
"I don't know yet," Patton said.
"Hmm… do you know me? I do think so. Do you understand my motivations? Oh, definitely. So fuck. Off." (Author's Note: Le Gasp!!! Deceit? Cussing? Nobody saw that coming, obviously. I mean, he's a slimy boi and all, but wow. Jk. He totally would cuss someone out, I'd think.) Deceit growled. "If you're going to stay and waste my time I'll force you out myself. I'd like the sword, please, and then you can leave. Or you can leave and break an already feeble promise, I'm not trapping you anymore so it's you who's not choosing to stay." he said.
"We'll figure something out, I'm sure." Virgil reassured.
Roman stood up. "If I knew that I would've walked out by now." He went to the door to exit the room, of course not thinking about any possible consequences, just happy to be free.
"Okay," Patton said.
"I told you already- oh, goddamnit… I don't know why I try." he snarled as Roman left.
"Great, so-ROMAN!!! Uh… I wasn't worried about you at all, but it's still good you're back I guess." Virgil blushed and rolled his eyes.
"I'm back!" Roman said.
Patton smiled. "You're okay!"
"Yeah, you're back… Logan's going crazy, thinking he can operate Thomas, take care of everything, you've gotta help us talk to him!" Virgil said.
Deceit held up a dark, blood red stained jar, and examined it. "Well, that's not problematic. My little pet-project has gotten out of control. I won't be around to deal with it longer though, maybe it'll be better off without me either way…."
"Patton, let's call a famILY meeting, including Thomas. Now. We need to fix Logan and get back on track, okay?" Virgil said.
"That's crazy!" Roman said.
"Okay," Patton said.
(Sorry if this seems bad. I'm tired and going to bed now)
(Oh god, I didn't mean to keep you up!!! Sleeeeeep!!!! It's healthy!!!)
"Okay then." Virgil sunk out, and the next second appeared next to Thomas…. and Logan? "Thomas, I believe you need to stop relying so heavily on your emotions. With all the turmoil you've gone through in the last few days I'm surprised you haven't broken down yet!" he said.
(Trust me, I was doing other role plays too. I think it was from traveling, as yesterday I did come back from vacation)
"Virgil, I'm fine. I've noticed that you guys aren't exactly yourselves, though," Thomas said.
"Yeah, and there could be a reason for that… I'm being forced to rein everyone in, Logan's being an assssss- uh, assailant towards Patton and Roman-" "Falsehood!" "Shut up, Logan. As said, he's been attacking their every idea, and making them unheard, it's all a bit troubling-uh, and speaking of Patton and Roman, they should be here soon-but I'm more worried about you, is everything alright? Is it Guys and Dolls again?" Virgil asked.
"I thought I just told you that I'm fine. Well, since you can already tell there's something wrong, I might as well tell you," Thomas said.
"You're hiding something. From us, Thomas, from us. That isn't good!" Virgil said.
