"Well, what's something hard to talk about? Let's try and avoid those topics if we can, they could hurt Thomas's reputation and the video could flop. Taking risks isn't a good idea and if we change our content too much people won't enjoy his videos. Maybe something we've done before, but change it up a little, but not too much so that the fans won't like it?" Virgil rambled.
"Really?" he asked, looking the other side in the eyes.
"Maybe," Roman said. "The thing is, it's just that these ideas are what keep Thomas's channel going when you think about it, and I myself have just been weirdly running out of ideas, which is weird and annoying, and not having ideas has already almost started arguments."
"Yes, really," Patton said. "I know you never really meant it. You were just getting annoyed with me, and I'm sorry for annoying you."
"But it never hurts to bounce back on old ideas! We're doing things people like!" Virgil said desperately. He truly hoped that Roman could see sense, going out on a limb was too risky and new ideas could easily become bad ideas.
"You didn't annoy me. I had previous frustrations, mainly Roman and video planning, and Deceit's unwanted appearance." Logan said.
"That is true," Roman said. "Any ideas on what we should do? Which idea could we use again? Did you have any certain ones in mind?"
"Okay. Well, it still makes sense as to what happened," Patton said.
"I… I don't know." Virgil admitted.
"Well, I'm glad we're back on good terms." said Logan.
"Oh. That's okay, but that isn't really all that helpful when it comes to this," Roman said.
Patton smiled. "Me too."
"But I don't know. I feel anxious enough thinking about it. Oh, this was a terrible idea! I'm not helping anything, am I?" Virgil groaned, upset.
"Should we go check on Roman? See if he has any new ideas?" asked Logan.
"Virgil, please, don't stress yourself out more with this," Roman said.
"Sure. Let's go," Patton said.
Logan walked with Patton to Roman's room, and noticed that somebody was screaming, but not incredibly loudly, but in an irritated sort of way. "Virgil." he deduced, and opened the door. "I just can't -oh, hey Logan, Patton." he waved to the other sides.
"What was going on in here before we came in?" Patton asked, quite confused. "Also, just thought I'd ask, is everything okay in here?"
"I can deduce not." Logan drawled. "Oh, and how so, Sherlock?" sand Virgil.
"Seriously, what is even happening in here?" Patton asked, just trying to make sure that everything was or would be okay.
"Video topics. I'm useless. Roman bored. Logan annoying." Virgil felt too lazy to even use full sentences. Logan rolled his eyes and huffed dramatically.
"Oh. I'm sure everything will end up being okay," Patton said.
"Well, Roman. Ideas. Thomas normally has something by the next day, even if it's, well, a little bit simple on his," he coughed but the was a hidden 'your' in it, "his part." Logan said.
(Sorry if I take forever to respond. Most of my role plays here died, so I'm not on that often unless I'm at school where this is the only place I can role play and where I run one with my friend who doesn't have Internet at home)
"I know, Logan. Look, I'll have some idea eventually, okay? You're not helping, you know," Roman said.
"An I supposed to? I just walked into the room. Why should I be helping? You could ask and I would, but-" Logan was cut off by Virgil. "Social cues, Logan. Social cues." he said, holding up a hand.
(Okay, that time I had a sleepover and didn't get home until now, and I didn't have Internet)
"You're not even trying to help, Logan, yet you're the one bothering me about not having an idea yet," Roman said. He had other things to say, but did not feel like starting an argument when he was stressed enough just trying to come up with a video idea.
"Logan, help. Please." said Virgil. "Alright. Let's come up with something new, but not totally different from what he usually does. And Roman? No 'pure originality' shenanigans like last time, please? I'd like to remind you all that everyone, including Thomas, has a common pattern or theme in how they work, we're all aware of this by now. And, will we consider any costs? The time it takes to work our idea? If we'll need any help from Thomas's friends or associates?" said Logan.
"Before we really go considering that stuff, just let me come up with some ideas. Also, okay. I just hope I can think of something that is actually a good idea. You guys can still help, of course, I'm just saying. I still need an idea so we should probably just stop with the talking, unless there are any more important things. Also, thanks, guys, your help is something I honestly needed here," said Roman.
"Well, if you need anything, let me or Patton know. I'm not sure if Virgil would help that much. And Roman?" said Logan thoughtfully, "You're doing your best. And it's really helping." he continued. Virgil didn't look offended, but said, "Anyways, I'm ducking out. Thomas has an overdue date with paranoia. Catch you later, guys." he sunk down into the floor and away to mess with Thomas's head.
"Bye. I'm just going to think of ideas now," said Roman, thinking of ideas.
"Alright. Don't overwork yourself, okay?" it was surprising this moment of sentiment came from Logan but oh well. "If you need any help, tell us, and just send your finished product to me so I can clean up the rough edges and send it to Thomas." Logan added.
"Got it," said Roman, still thinking of ideas.
Logan exited, and with that the room was empty. Except, you could see something moving in the shadows of Roman's room…
"Hello, Thomas." said Virgil. He started the same old routine, pop up, start making Thomas feel anxious, and then leave him to his thoughts. It worked every time, it was a rut they'd never get out of and it was just Virgil doing his job after all. "So much unfinished work, you've been slacking off. You have things to do that you aren't doing," he said as Thomas was sitting in the living room, watching Parks and Rec.
(By the way, headcanons about Roman's room? We haven't seen it yet but I'm wondering if you have any theories, I have a few?)
