(Ya. An out of the way hallway. But I was thinking that Cato’s twisted foot thing is cursed so it can’t be healed, the pain can only be suppressed. I’ll have him say that at some point.)
//isn’t he out of the game now
Is that not how this works
(Idk what to do w/ Aubrey rn)
(I guess have the healer try and fail but bring him back to consciousness?)
Aurelia rushed forward to Cato. She looked at Valerie, then back to Cato. She helped get him farther out of the way. He was unconscious, so she tried to see if she could get him to wake back up by calling his name a couple of times.
“I’ve got to get back to the game, take care of him, yeah? I don’t know what really triggered him passing out, but he stumbled a little, looked in pain, then passed out.”
"Maybe he's just fainted. It's possible to faint from pain. I'll try to figure things out. Go on and finish the game," Aurelia responded. She unclipped the flask of nectar on her hip and poured a little bit of it into Cato's mouth.
"Gods… what happened?" she wondered aloud.
“Good question,” she muttered. “Bye!”
The haze over Cato’s mind lifted slightly, but he was still out of it. He could once again feel his throbbing foot.
Sage had finally managed to drive the attackers off there hallway. He waved to Valerie. "Nice job!" he shouted. He'd never been that great at war games, but today he felt on top of the world. Even though Valerie had taken the hard opponent.
"Cato?" Aurelia murmured. She didn't know what to do now, since she had no clue what was happening or how he was hurt.
(I’m going to be on and off. ;-;)
Cato’s eyes opened and he saw Aurelia leaning over him. He mumbled, “You cant heal me, so…. you can go deal with other people. I’m not going to die,” he added sarcastically.
"I will in a moment, but I would like an explanation, and if I can at least ease your pain, I will do what I can," Aurelia replied.
“Ugh. Fine. Curse, blah blah blah, cant be healed, blah blah blah, all I can do is build myself a brace. There. Happy? Nectar makes it so that my ankle doesnt swell up to the point that I loose circulation in my foot. That’s all anybody can do. I don’t want pity,” Cato intoned. He dreaded looking up into the eyes of this healer and seeing yet more pity.
(Intoned was the wrong word but idk anymore)
"I don't pity you, or anyone," Aurelia replied with a slight edge, "Helping others in any way you can is just the right thing to do. I'm only trying to be a genuine, kind, person, and do my job, and my job is healing."
“Thanks,” Cato grumbled. “I appreciate it. I hate pity. I’m good now, so you can move on.” He sat up, steadying his vision, and then made to stand, propping himself up on a nearby half-demolished wall.
"Alright," Aurelia replied, "Let me know if there's anything you need later." She moved on at a jog when she spotted another Legionnaire down. He was suffering a wound she could see- one that had been delivered by a blade. Aurelia checked her surroundings to make sure no one else was fighting near to him, then she ran on ahead.
Cato refused to let his internal grimace of pain show on his face, and instead slowly made his way over to his cohort’s bunks, lying down on his bed/cot/whatever and closing hie eyes.
"Do you reckon we're still meant to stay here?" Sage asked Valerie, curious. He wasn't sure if he should follow the action or simply continue defending the hallway.
(I fIANLLY HAVE SERVICE.)
(See I thought that this notification would mean somebody was finally on. But noooo._.)
(Yeah, that sounds about right. I'm here, but my character just kind of walked away and I'm almost regretting making her a healer)
