Tessa, coming back to reality after sulking in a corner, crouched next to Enderstorm and poked her hide. "Welp," she declared. "She's dead."
Ronon grumbled, shooting a glare at his sister. "I'll have to watch over her." He didn't seem too bothered, though.
Anna looked at Tess in horror. "She can't be dead!" She felt for a heartbeat, and found a heartbeat. "Tess, she isn't dead!"
Tessa rolled her eyes. "I'm aware she's not dead. But she might as well be with the lack of response regarding our attempts at communication."
Ronan snapped at his sister, just barely avoiding biting her head off. She smacked his chin, to which he was completely unfazed.
"Ohhh." Anna nodded, realizing the sarcasm. "She'll wake up. I have some ideas." She stayed a safe distance away from the siblings, not wanting to get trapped in their play fighting.
Tessa easily climbed up Ronan's jagged rock-like scales, using them as foot and hand-holds to swing herself atop his head and among his many equally jagged horns. "What do you have in mind?" she asked. Ronan walked over to his boulder and laid down, gnawing on the rock like a dog with a bone.
"If we could find water, we could hold her under until she wakes up. We could try force feeding her until she chokes, or waking her up with the smell of food. Or I could sing, but that might be bad." Anna shook Enderstorm's shoulder again.
Enderstorm rolled over in her sleep, her snout lolling open. Her mouth dripped with glowing blue blood and saliva.
"So I guess shaking her isn't going to work." Anna sighed. Enderstorm had to wake up…
Tessa sat cross-legged atop Ronan's head, cocking her head to the side. "So… You want to almost kill her so she'll wake up? Violent, Anna. Especially for you."
"No, I just think it would be effective! Also, what do you mean especially for me? I can be violent." She transitioned from defending herself to insisting she could be violent. Tess wasn't the only one who might be willing to blow things up. "We just need to wake her up, and I think if almost killing her is what it takes, that's what we'll have to do. But safely, we can't actually risk killing her. Or hurting her." Anna began to reconsider, pacing again to mentally debate pros and cons.
Tessa sighed and jumped off of her perch, strolling over to Enderstorm and leaning against her. Her blood and skin and bones heated slowly, radiating that heat towards Enderstrom from where Tessa sat. Enderstorm felt cold, so maybe this would help?
Enderstorm’s scales had recovered slightly from their clammy feeling, but Tessa’s heat didn’t seem to be contributing o this process. Enderstorm’s tail twitched slightly, and she smiled, as if having a pleasant dream.
Tessa scowled. "Ugh! And she's fireproof too, so I can't set her on fire."
(I don’t know why but this is hilarious to watch as you all struggle to wake her. And then I remember why she’s asleep and it ruins it.)
"Oh, that could have worked! Well, what about threatening her so she wakes up to defend herself?" Anna kicked Enderstorm gently, not sure how far she should go. She really didn't want to deal with another episode of bleeding from Enderstorm, or any other problems.
Enderstorm began twitching and rolling around in her sleep. Her tail lashed about dangerously.
(Ha ha. Yes, so very funny. (Sarcasm, I'm not actually bitter.) Would a spell work?)
(They're going to wake her up.)
Anna jumped away, before sighing. "We don't have time for this. I have an idea…"
(Ha ha. Yes, so very funny. (Sarcasm, I'm not actually bitter.) Would a spell work?)
(Probably, though I wouldn’t suggest it. She is sleeping for a reason.)
(Should we leave her asleep? she can just get carried around for a little while)
(No, please wake her. I want to see what you try!)
Tessa calmed the beast beneath her skin and stood again, her pacing matching the hidden beast's stirring. "What are your ideas this time?" The words had a little bit more bite than she intended.
Anna took a deep breath and stood near Enderstorm's head. "I remember people doing this to me…" She inhaled again, beginning.
"ON TOP OF SPAGHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEETIIIII ALLLL COVERED WIIIIIIIIIIITH CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESE. I LOOOOST MY POOOR MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEATBALL WHEN SOMEBODY SNEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZED." Her voice shifted up several octaves on meatball, and the whole song sounded terrible. She was off key and just overall had no singing voice to begin with.
Tessa cringed and covered her ears. "Bit of a warning to the ones with sensitive hearing."
