"But now I'm not asleep." Anna was, indeed, awake, and now she was ready to move on with the day (Or night). And if that meant she had to wake up the others, that's what she would do.

Something caught Tessa's attention, and she started digging in the dirt. When her claws hit something solid but fleshy, she froze. This was a feeling she knew all too well. "Guys…"

(I'ma pop my boy back into this)

Tristan stretched and sat up looking over to Tess, he rubbed his eyes tiredly, "What is it, Tess…?"

@Darkblossom group

Enderstorm slept like a baby. Or rather, a dragon who was suffering from blood loss. She didnt even stir when everyone else woke up, though she probably wished she had as nightmares still plagued her.

Tristan slightly paled and made a gagging noise, he put his hand down to help himself get up and yelped quietly as it hit some flesh. He stood up quickly.

@ElderGod-kirky group

There was the pale face of a little girl staring unblinking up at Tessa and Anna from where Tess has uncovered it. She flared her nostrils, and show now noticed the scent of decay everywhere. They hadn't just not cleaned up. They'd added more bodies while they all slept. "A message," Tessa said flatly. Something she used to do as well…

@BrennaKadavsky

Anna's hand went over her mouth,, and she stood in shock for a minute. "Well, this is awful." She tried not to breathe too deeply, her gaze fixed on the unseeing eyes of the little girl.

Tristan looked away disgustedly, the girl looked about to be his age, "I don't like this…"

@BrennaKadavsky

Anna finally broke her gaze away, and stumbled back. Then she yelped when she tripped into something-a huge black box. It was completely smooth, with no lid or latches of any kind. It was just a giant square of black material.

@ElderGod-kirky group

Tessa was strangely unruffled by the sight of the body, but she did look away–to look for more. "They pulled out their kills to send some sort of message. To show their power over us?"

@BrennaKadavsky

(What's sad is that most of us have been on and commenting on it. I'm back here now, though.)

(Also, the box is going to be the magic pulling thing, so it's like a magnet in the middle of the arena to pull the magic into it. It's about big enough to be a small house.)
Anna walked around the box. There was nothing on it, so why was it there?

@BrennaKadavsky

Anna walked back over to the group. "Guys, there's a giant cube over in the middle of the arena, where Tess found the bodies." She was still a little in shock from the sight of the bodies, really not sure how she felt about them.

Tristan looked to Anna, “Show me!” He said going up to her.

@BrennaKadavsky

She nodded, leading the way back to the huge box. "I really don't get what it is. There's no doorway, no button, no latch, no nothing. It's just a giant mass of black, I can't even tell if it's metal or plastic or something else." She tapped it slowly, checking it for any tripwires. There was nothing, and she tapped it harder. Not thinking, she pulled back and slammed her shoulder into it as hard as she could, before yelping in pain. "It's surprisingly strong, actually!"

@Darkblossom group

Enderstorm walked over to the black cube, cracked her neck and shoulders, extended her wings for a boost, and slammed into the box with all her might. She barely dented it.

@BrennaKadavsky

(It's going to pull her magic, so within about two minute she should start feeling the effects.)
Anna sighed, kicking with her foot while she held her shoulder. "Why. It just doesn't make any sense, why is it even here?"
(my mind is planning, and what if all the data they've collected has all been to create a bomb aka the box that won't work until it's pulled in enough magic, and then it can destroy the magical beings too weak to get away. It will destroy all evidence of their tests and lab, leaving them with a clean slate and the results of their research, since they've already left)

@BrennaKadavsky

Anna cocked her head. "You ran into a wall. Of course it hurts." She was still rubbing her own shoulder, and she hadn't hit it nearly as hard as Enderstorm had.
