"Sister!?!?" she smiled. She didn't understand why this was so exciting for her.

Tristan looked up surprised, "Uh thanks for helping!"

Maybe cause in the short time she knew Tess, she thought of her as a friend

Tess grinned at the male, breathing heavily. He laughed and kicked her off. They both sprawled across the dirt.
"Half, but yes." She said. "Mother's side. Mountain dragon shapeshifter."
He waved. "Name's Ronan."

Meanwhile, Danny was looking around frantically when a girl dropped to the ground in front of him. She had red hair and half of her body was on fire. She grinned evilly and Danny's eyes widened. "No. I won't fight you, Alex!" They can't have gotten you!" He screamed as loudly as he could, hoping someone would hear and help him. (Idk I guess he just went a different way

Tristan ran after Danny's voice and tackled the girl

"Hello Ronan" Lacie waved back

Anna followed Tristan. "Wait! She's on fire, don't! She'll burn you!"

Lacie jumped at Danny's voice

Ronan and Tess also heard Danny, clawed feet trying to get purchase on the loose dirt as they scrambled up.

Danny was breathing hard even though he hadn't done anything. His sister… Were the others here? He wasn't sure he wanted to find out.

Lacie followed the voice

Tristan screeched in pain as the fire burned him, "Get…Off…Him!"

Tess got up first, hauling Ronan to his feet as they ran towards Danny. The siblings each grabbed one of Alex's arms, hauling her away from Danny–Tessa being completely fireproof and Ronan having a tolerance for heat.
"I've fought her before," Ronan said. "Gone completely insane from the experiments."

"Tristan stop! You can't help him if you're burnt to a crisp!" Lacie yelled trying pull Tristan off.

Anna grabbed Tristan and pulled him off of the girl.

Tristan's grip loosened and he fell to the ground, his clothing and body burnt.

(Agh sorry it keeps not loading.) Anna stomped on some of the flaming brush, extinguishing the fire.

"I'll be okay," he said shakily, wiping his eyes.

Anna gave Danny a half hug. "She's your sister?"

"Danny!" Lacie shoved her body against the flamming girl

"Run!"

"That was my sister. She went missing a while ago and…" He hiccupped. "We thought she was dead."
