((I can in a little bit. OMG I hate programming. The freaking program we're using to make our programs doesn't even work properly half the time, then randomly doesn't respond. Gives me a mini heart attack every time because I didn't save at that point and I really don't want to lose my work
(I'm in we were at Tess, Tristan and Enderstorm on the ground and everybody else still stuck I think)
(Ah that would be the worst)
((Yeah, I'm now in the habit of saving every 5 seconds. Lemme do a recap of what Tess was doing))
"I said I'm fine!" She finally allowed herself to assess the forested arena. It was… familiar, somehow. Like…
Like our training arena, she thought. It was a close rendition, with twisted and fallen trees everywhere, poisonous plants, choking vines, and plenty of places to hide. She could smell the other people the scientist had captured… somewhere. Again, just like the arena back home, the forest messed with her senses, altering them. She wouldn't be able to rely on them alone.
Anna knelt on the glass, watching them. "Tess, you're good, right?"
"What did I just say, like, three times?" She said to herself. "Yes. This place is familiar. And not good," She called up to Anna.
Anna turned and felt around the sides of the ball. "There should be a catch or a latch or something…"
Tess flicked out her tail, sending a bunch of hot spikes at Anna's ball. The plastic cracked and slowly steamed from the heat. "That should help."
"Ahhh." She jumped away from the fire. "well, that works too."
Tessa crouched down, half shifting into her dragon form–dragon legs, claws, tail, wings, horns, and eyes with her golden scale armor–and straining her senses for the others. Still no luck. "There's people here. Probably other test subjects, like us. I can't pinpoint their locations just yet."
Anna finished breaking out and dropped to the ground. "Ow. Maybe the survivors of other groups? Or maybe… what if… So some of us had Xed doors and some of us didn't, it has to mean something, like maybe the Xs mark who they think is going to survive? Or who isn't going to survive."
Tristan stared at Enderstorm's magic, "Cool I wish I could do that, " He said quietly
Lacie pushed her body weight against the glass
"X usually means death," Tess said, still crouching. Her arms were braced against her knees as she leaned forward. "Who all had Xs?"
"Ah," Tess looked up at their missing companion and did the same to her ball that she did for Anna's.
"I think it was you, Tristan, and Enderstorm."
She chewed on her lip. "Okay, that blows a hole in that theory."
"Does it? You and Tristan snuck out for food, right? And Enderstorm was flying at first, so you three have been the most… Let's say rebellious."
"O-oh," Tristan said surprised, "I had an x
Tessa shook her head, then drew a claw across her throat, cutting deep.
"Ah Tessa what are you doing!" Anna ran over, pulling a roll of gauze from her boot.
Tristan's eyes widened, "T-tess? What are you doing?"
The wound oozed a golden sap-like liquid, then closed up. Tessa wiped off the liquid and flicked it at the ground. Wherever the liquid hit, the ground sizzled. "See?"
"Is that…um…ichor?" Tristan guessed.
Lacie felt faint at that sight.
