Tristan nodded and sat on the ground his fur keeping warm. This time he didn't even try asking to go, for he knew he'd be told it was too dangerous again

Anna grabbed some leaves and sticks, piling them into a square. "I'm Anna, I think I'm 14, and… that's really all I remember."
Lacie pondered. "I-I don't remember who I am either. I'm Lacie my age is 19 and I have a dog. That's it."
Anna gave Lacie a rough smile. "If it's like Ronan said, we should remember soon."
Tessa had disappeared, sneaking off into the forest while the others introduced themselves. Ronan also slunk off into the forest to investigate.
“I have my memories,”. Tristan mewed pacing
Anna frowned at the two of them. "It's only a matter of time before she does get killed. It isn't good to be that reckless… Maybe her brother can keep her in check." Then it was back to focusing on the tiny beginnings of a fire and willing the snow to die.
"What do you remember about yourself, Tristan?"
“Well, I’m ten, I can’t read or do math, I hate school, my mom died two years ago, she was the daughter of a powerful leader, I can shapeshift into a ginger and white maincoone…”
"A powerful leader? Maybe that was part of some criteria. What world were you from, earth?"
Ronan and Tessa hunted through the forest, climbing over trees and sniffing the air for any sign of people. One group Ronan found was of children, all huddled together in a hidden cave. Air and water users, one each, a shapeshifter, a dragon-related one, a noble, a hunter, and an ordinary human.
Tessa found the remains of a similar group, air and fire users instead of Air and water. The human seemed to be the one to die first, killed by the dragon.
"I wonder when Ronan and Tessa will come back?" Lacie wondered. "We don't know what else is in here."
Back with the others, they'd started a small fire and were all sitting around it's warmth, staying close to Endie for little sparks of fire.
"Hopefully soon. We need them back here to figure all this out, and since they're two of our strongest fighters.
"Not only that but I don't want anyone getting hurt." Lacie sighed
"Right." Anna looked around at everyone. They needed Tessa and Ronan.
Lacie hugged her knees to shield herself from the cold.
Ronan and Tess quickly found a pattern–some combo of the the four elements, a shapeshifter, a dragon-related entity, some kind of higher class human, a hunter, and just a simple human. Some were missing a few, but the pattern was still there. Most what the found, however, were remains. Old remains. Some were new, but not many. The siblings regrouped, then raced each other back to the others–they were clearly enjoying the hunt more than they should.
“Not originally, no. I’m not from Earth. My mom never told me the name of where I was born.”
"Tessa? Ronan?" Anna heard rustling, like something was coming towards them.
"I don't remember where I'm from," Lacie set her head on her knees
Lacie looked up at the rustling.
Tess and Ronan burst from the forest, once again wrestling with each other. It had been a while since they had an opponent of equal skills.
"Yeah." Anna said, giving Lacie an awkward pat on the back.
Lacie let out a sigh of relief seeing Tess and Ronan.
