"Like… 10 minutes but we could probably leave a little bit early though, if you wanted," Gracie said. "Don't worry, it isn't a big building, it's just, well, spread out more than it should be. So, we end up having like three separate buildings."
"Great." Miran groans. "Leaving early would be nice. I have to get to…" He holds up his schedule. "Algebra 2, in room 103." He looks at Gracie with a pleading look. "Could you help me?"
Gracie smiles, "Of course! Oof I hate Algebra though… Sadly I have to go to Science next… see you later?" (Cause it would be weird if they had every class together or smth you know?)
(Yeah, that would be weird)
"Oh, thanks. Maybe I could find you at lunch or something?" Miran asks.
"Yeah sure!" Gracie nodded enthusiastically. Noticing that they had like 2 minutes left, she told Miran, "Hey, I guess, we should leave now or something?"
"Sure!" Miran stands up and slings his backpack over his shoulder. "Lead the way, oh mighty knower of classroom locations."
Gracie laughed. "It's only my second year, y'know…" She opened the door quietly, and slipped out into the hall, waiting for Miran.
Miran follows her outside. "So, which way? You can just point me in the direction if you want. I wouldn't want to make you late."
"Actually no, it's fine haha," Gracie laughed. "Math and science are in the same building, we just have to go out that door, and to that one across the blacktop," she pointed.
"Okay." Miran follows her finger. "Thanks." He starts walking towards the door, falling in step next to Gracie.
As they step inside the math and science building Gracie can't help but admire the faux marble tiles yet again. "I guess this is where we part ways, huh? So math is that way, up the stairs. Room 103, correct? Haha odd numbered rooms are going to be on your… left," she explained.
"Thanks again." Miran smiles. "I guess I'll see you at lunch?"
Kai glanced down at his wristwatch, sighing. Another boring lesson, hopefully he could skip that one as well. He dragged himself to the Maths and Science block, forcing himself up the stairs, gripping onto the banister with every step he took. The teacher was probably going to think that something was wrong with him since he was actually putting in the effort to go to that lesson. He saw Miran a few steps behind him, and frowned slightly. He just stood and frowned.
(I will apologise now, my replies with be a little scattered since I am in the UK and time difference is a thing.)
Miran takes a deep breath and starts scanning the room numbers. "Odd ones on the left…" He mutters, looking further down the hallway. And there he is. 'Kelvin' or something, standing there and frowning. "Uh… excuse me," Miran says, walking up to him. "I'm looking for room 103?"
Kai nodded his head and motioned for Miran to follow him. Well at least now he had an excuse to be in lesson. The classroom was near the end of the hallway, and as they got there, Kai could see that some of the other students were already sat down in their seats. He turned to Miran, gesturing for him to go first into the classroom and choose a seat.
"Uh… thanks." Miran walks into the classroom and chooses a seat in the back.
Kai ignored the odd glance from the teacher as he made his way to the back of the classroom and sat at the desk next to Miran. If he sat next to the new kid, it would look like he was actually doing work.
"My name's Miran Watson," Miran says, looking over at the boy. "And you are?"
( Lee+Co that's totally fine!)
Walking down the hallway leading to the science wing, Gracie entered a classroom, and sat down.
He hesitated for a moment, rubbing the back of his blond head. After a couple of silent minutes, he mumbled. "I'm Kai Ashmore. It's nice to meet you."
"It's nice to meet you too, Kai." Miran nods. "That's a nice name." He opens his notebook and quickly makes a note. "Thanks again for leading me to the right classroom." Miran smiles at Kai, his grey-blue eyes sparkling. "Is everyone here this helpful, or did I just get lucky?"
A faint blush grew on Kai's cheeks, and he found himself smiling. He quickly averted his light turquoise eyes, focusing his attention on the front of the class. "I guess you got lucky."
Miran smiles. "I'm glad. You and Gracie have saved my life so far. I don't know what I would do without you." He looks towards the front of the class as well, running his hand through his dark hair absentmindedly.
