He smiled. "Thanks." It was weird, but he got a fatherly vibe off of the creator, although he figured it was just wishful thinking.

"He views you as a son," Rhianon said, looking away in shame as she felt the same feeling. "Seeing as you are his nephew, it would make sense. My sister has kept an eye on you for a long time it would seem…"
"A new dad, and a new mom in the same week. Things are looking up." He was nearly shouting with joy.
Rhianon cocked her head and blinked as she looked to Runner.
He glanced over at her. "What, did you think I was forgetting you or something?"
She startled. "No, I just… you seem… happy. And did not question my statement."
"Why would I question it? You haven't lied to me yet."
She looked really confused by the conversation, not quite sure what to do or say. "No, that's not what I meant. I just thought that you would at least wonder why the Creator would be your uncle…" she trailed off, growing concerned that Runner would hear her and think her an idiot.
He blinked a few times. "That part went completely over my head. I'm related to the creator of the entire fucking universe?"
Rhianon winced. "Not by blood, but by marriage. The Oracle, his wife and the Queen of the gods, is my little sister. It is she who watched over you as a child until now."
"That spirit in Charleston…"
"Would be a servant of hers, or perhaps a fragment of her being." Rhianon nodded, following Runner's train of thought. She cocked her head. "That would also mean that your friend would actually be your cousin. As well as the other Royal children," she mused.
"It would be the perfect surprise," he finished off. "No one would expect their own blood to be their mortal enemy."
Rhianon tilted her head in thought. "I was the enemy at some point," she reminded him. "Being a Dark sorceress who works with enemy number one isn't exactly the best thing to be when you're the sister of the Oracle."
(could I come in now, is this a good time?)
(yeah, sure!)
(If you don't mind me asking, how long have you been stalking this chat?)
"But you weren't built for the sole purpose of killing the Vanguard."
She winced again. "True, and I'm sorry. My mind was twisted."
He shook his head, smiling. "Do I look like a vicious murderer to you?"
Rhianon tried for a motherly smile. "No, you do not. But your friend on the other hand…" She waved a hand over the mirror, revealing the true image.
Tessa was beating a wealthy looking businessman. He was covered in blood, and more dribbled from his mouth as he spat at her in Italian. She smirked and bashed his head against a wall, cracking his skull wide open. She watched as he slid to the ground, limp.
"She does have an inclination for that sort of problem solving." He still smiled slightly when he saw her.

"Uh sorry, who are you guys?" A girl in her early twenties appears out of no-where, her long brown hair in a messy braid and dressed in workout clothing.
