"You seemed 'in the mood,' as you have said before."
"You seemed 'in the mood,' as you have said before."
((Would he really have to do anything back for her to be nervous, or just simply have a conversation
She stuck her tongue out at him. "Like I said, I wasn't going to. That was as far as I would've gone had you not cracked." She picked up he sandwich and went back to eating.
((If he's really nice to her and/or she's more attractive and less mentally unstable))
"Damn, I was that close," he said, holding his fingers a centimeter apart.
((AKA, if they become friends
She smirked. "Which means a job well done on my part."
((O, no, I gotta make a character ;-;
"Which means it wont work next time you try."
((Yeah. She would be jealous of Cinthia, but she's with Demitri.))
She shrugged. "We'll see."
((I'm thinking, like, he gets into a streetfight or something, and some girl breaks it up, helps Runner recover from whatever wounds he might've retained, and it goes from there.
((I like that idea))
"I had you show your full hand, you got no tricks up the sleeve unless it's literally going for it."
((MMmmmmmm, what type of girl would she be most jealous of? Like, any specific hair color, eye color, complexion?
"Who's to say I don't have any more tricks? You're not a woman, are you?"
((Basically any attractive woman that isn't covered in scars–mental and physical))
That had him stumped, simply saying, "You wouldn't dare."
She grinned. "I have a whole arsenal of tricks, men and women alike, and I'm not afraid of pulling out the big guns."
He shook his head, standing up. "I've got to go tell Cin that I'm quiting that job." He gave her a quick peck. "I'll be back tonight," he said, walking back towards the beach house.
"Aww!" She turned around. I couldn't seriously have spooked him. Could I?
He thought about asking her to come with but eventually decided against it. What's the worst that can happen? He thought.
Turns out, the worse was him lying on his back in an alleyway, a knife jammed deeply into his shoulder, his left eye swollen so badly that he couldn't see from it, and a few of his teeth lying next two him as the three perpetrators of the attack ran of. He lied there for a while, a long while. The sun had set and the stars were out, twinkling so bright he thought he could just reach out and grab them. His eyes began to flutter, sleep asking for consent and Runner happily giving it, until there was a sharp intake of breath from the front of the alleyway. He raised his drowsy head and watched as the woman hurried to his side. She was about as tall as him, probably more, with deep blue eyes and wavy blonde hair. She wore a blue summer dress that form-fitted just enough to accentuate her curves without being to skimpy. She knelt down next to him, lightly resting a hand on his chest.
"Good lord," she said with a soft Southern accent. "We gotta get you some help. But I need you to get on your feet, alright?"
"Mmmmmmm…..hm," Runner managed, blinking a few times.
"On three, now. One…two…three!"
Runner shouted hin pain as she got him to his feet, getting under his left arm and easily taking most of his weight, wrapping an arm around his waist for extra support. "Let's get you to a hospital."
"No….no….Tessie….." he slurred out pointing to the beach house only a few blocked down the sidewalk.
"Is she gonna help you?" the woman asked, to which Runner nodded. "Well, then let's go."
It was an excruciating 45 minutes of half-shuffling, half-dragging the wounded Runner to Tessie's house, leaving a trail of blood that marked their path like breadcrumbs. THe woman pounded on her door loudly, biting the bottom of her lip in worry. If this girl ain't here, he may die.
((Had to write a book real quick
((Lol, okay. I'm probably going to have to go soon))
Tessa opened the door, rubbing her wet hair with a towel. "Hey, took you long… Runner!?" She reached for him, dropping the towel, eyes wild with worry. "What the hell happened!?"
"He-hey, Tess…" he said sleepily, his knees faltering as he fell into her.
The girl watched with worry, ignoring the bloodstains on her dress.
