"You know, I'm only about a hundred pounds…" Porta's grin spread even wider. "I could rig up a sling for your dragon form?"

Or you guys could just ride on my back?" Tess suggested with a small smile.
"I like your style! I've never traveled by dragon before!"
Tess stretched her arms, rolling her shoulders as if warming up. "It's fun. Flying in general is fun, but riding a dragon is really fun."
"Should we find an abandoned building or something for you to transform in?"
Tessa looked up in the sky, squinting. "I won't fit. Besides, practically everyone knows who I am. I've been called too, so I won't be attacked. Probably. Most likely." She closed an eye and tilted her head to look at Porta. "It'd be like Godzilla. Who would fight that?"
"You wouldn't have to carry me. As I have shown, I have wings."
"I can fly pretty fast and really far in that form. Plus, you'd have to dodge my four wings. And those are big suckers."
Miles raised an eyebrow. "I did say that I could shift out wings, correct," He asked, crossing his arms. "And I do not accept help from anyone whomst I do not trust, as is the Fae way."
Levira sat quietly. People weren't really her thing. She had become a Hunter because she practically lived in the magical world-even if she was human. Magical beings were better than humans. And while these people she was with were basically magical creatures, they were more like humans than anything else. She shot a glance at the girl with the golden eyes. She hadn't spoken much, either, and simply ignored the rest of them. She hadn't eaten, either.
"Understandable." Tess wasn't about to argue about this. The fewer people dependent on her, the better. It's why she left the pack once upon a time. It's why she loved the Vanguard.
“Do you want to get going?” Porta asked. “With Google Maps and wings, we’ll be there in no time! Blaize, is it still ok if I fly with you? If it isn’t, I can drive.”
"I can probably fly faster than you, but I can fly or ride. Or the van, honestly. Whatever works." Adri was still busy inhaling chocolate and French fries, watching everyone's exchanges.
"I can carry anyone who wants to hitch a ride."
“Well, that’s not an offer I’ll turn down!”
Tessa chuckled, despite herself.
Taran turned her nose up at Tessa's offer. "Um, no.I prefer to fly."
Levira grinned. "I can teleport, so…"
Tessa smirked at Taran. "You'd technically be flying. I'd just be in control."
Taran rolled her eyes. "Like that's any better. Who would want you in control? You'd kill the lot of us!"
Tessa scoffed. "And how would you know that? Plus, if I wanted to kill you lot, you'd all be dead now."
Taran raised a challenging eyebrow."I seem to remember that when we fought, I had to turn you back to your normal form. I doubt you could kill me even if you tried."
Tessa tilted her head and narrowed her eyes. Too much information. Taran was spilling too much information around these strangers.
Taran grinned at Tessa's expression and rolled her eyes. Cautious idiot.
Tess fumed but still didn't say anything. Revealing my dragon is one thing. There are other sun dragons out there. But revealing my secret beast is another. She shivered. It's like stripping me of my skin and leaving my broken soul exposed.
Taran almost felt bad for Tessa. Almost. It was hard to feel bad for someone who was so stuck up.
