"So we're dealing with Medusa. Fun. At least I know I can fight with my eyes closed."
"So we're dealing with Medusa. Fun. At least I know I can fight with my eyes closed."
Porta smiled softly. "It could be a Medusa-like creature, and that's what I like to believe. I wouldn't be able to handle it if it was some kind of alien. I literally found out about demons last week, so…"
"I got a bunch of mythical creatures under my belt. I'm not too worried."
Taran looked up at Tessa. "Really? Then show them to us!"
Tess rolled her eyes. "Figuratively. What I mean is I've dealt with a bunch of shit before so I'm pretty confident this'll be a cakewalk."
Adriana nodded. "It can't be too hard." She stretched her head for a better view of the map, scheming inside her head.
"Hm, Paralysis with body changing into materials. This will be fun, when do we leave?" Miles asked, muttering an incantation to hide his bag from view and to make sure it stayed locked.
"Indeed," Tess muttered.
Levira shrugged. "Well, when are we going to be leaving? The first place I want to go is to a food place. I'm starving!"
"We can get food on the way." Miles muttered, his wings were growing more and more agitated and he just wanted to go so he could fly.
"I'm down for food!" Tess stood, stretching her muscles.
Levira's stomach grumbled and she blushed, glad that no one could see her face.
"I can't deny that I'm getting a little hungry. Where do you guys usually go to eat? I'm not really from around here." Porta tucked the map back into her coat. "We can talk more tactics when we aren't starving."
Adriana straightened and started moving towards the door. "I don't know the area, but there's bound to be something on the way. How do you all travel, do you have cars or wings or what?" Best to know now, so they could figure out the easiest way to get wherever they were going.
"Can't drive, but can run hella fast over buildings and through alleyways. And fly."
"I can fly, teleport, exedra," Miles said, his accent making the words sound strangely exotic.
"I have my license and my car is parked a few buildings away. Do y'all wanna hop in? I have room for 8." Porta said, tossing her car keys in the air and catching them.
"I'll run," Tess said. She hated being in enclosed spaces. Terrified of it.
"I'd rather fly, my wings are extremely uncomfortable in cars." Miles said, taking off his jacket and neatly setting it in his bag. Once his jacket was off, a pair of delicate looking dragon-fly like wings were shown.
"Alrighty then! Do y'know where we're going?"
Tessa eyed his wings. "Those look flimsy," she said bluntly.
"Yes, they do." Miles said, pulling out a dagger and slicing at them. "But they are harder than diamonds and I can shift in new ones."
"Well, he did say he can fly. I'm sure they work well enough!" Porta said, jealousy creeping into her tone. She didn't have any of the special abilities of the other Hunters, and was beginning to feel outclassed.
"Hmm." Tessa still wasn't impressed, but she cataloged the information for later use.
She tugged at her mask and blinked her eyes, the contacts starting to bother her. knew a disguise was a bad idea.
Miles still hasn't given his name, if anyone wants to ask about that.
"So, Wing Boy, do you have a name? Equal exchange of power and all that jazz."
(Tess hasn't been asked either…)
(Though Taran knows both her street name and real name)
"Hm, names do hold power, as someone mentioned before, but since you all did say yours. I suppose. My alias is Mimicry, this is the one most people call me."
(Tess hasn't been asked either…)
(Though Taran knows both her street name and real name)
Miles has many alias's, he's one of my most secretive characters.//
