"Luna's one of my friends," Blade explained quietly. "She won't hurt you. But if you want her to stay away, I can tell her to." Luna sat on her haunches and tilted her head at Wren.

(Oh my goooosh is Phoenix the big brother?? Because that is literally his entire personality, and I consider it a high compliment)
Phoenix presses his lips together tightly. He was touched by the others' willingness to band together, even though they all hardly knew each other. He would fight to protect all of them, but… he still didn't want to kill anyone. Perhaps they might find another way further down the road. Whatever the case, he would stand by the group.
"I say we keep going," he speaks finally, glancing up at the tower, "That spire's the only thing for miles around, so it's worth getting a look at. Whatever happens with this 'candlemaker,' well… we'll cross that bridge when we get there."
(Yes he is XD)
Wren looks at the wolf carefully before slowly reaching a hand out towards the wolf.
Luna gave him a small lick, rubbing her fur against his hand. Blade smiled, running her hand along her silky fur. "Agreed," she says to Pheonix.
Wren jerks their hand back, startled and more than a little confused at the sensation of fur beneath their hand. They hadn't had a soft, fuzzy animal since Tank had. . . passed.
They slowly reach their hand out again, patting the wolf's head gently.
Wren is now very focused on the wolf and nothing else.
Blade looks at the spire in the distance, worry creasing her brow. "Alright. When do you think we should leave?"
Phoenix smiles fondly, watching Wren and Blade pet Luna. Still, he finds his gaze drifting outward across the landscape.
"Any idea when Rosjai is getting back?"
"I don't know. I feel like she should be back by now," Blade says worriedly. "If she doesn't come back, what about Wren?"
Wren shakes their head absently in response to Pheonix's question about their fiancée.
"No clue. . . she tends to go places to try and get materials for survival. She might be finding out which foods are edible and which ones aren't. Most of them fall under the 'aren't' category, most likely." they murmur.
Blade nods, relaxing slightly. "So it might be a few minutes, then." She says.
Phoenix nods, "All right… We'll wait a little longer for her to come back."
Hopefully, we won't have to go looking for her, he thought to himself.
Blade sits down on the ground and Luna curls up beside her. "Come on," she urges Phoenix and Wren. "We've got nothing better to do with our time."
Cole stands there huddled in the group but unhearing. He doesn’t want to do this he doesn’t- “Flesh child.” Cole turns to face the naiad again. “You aren’t alone. His blood will be shared equally across all of your group, regardless of who strikes the killing blow. And do not despair; all candlemakers are either good or bad.” The naiad’s face, gentle and kind up to this point, hardens. “This one is bad.”
Sure enough, Rosjāi returns, having made a pack of sorts for each member of their party besides Wren, electing to make her pack twice as big.
"We each have enough food for a couple weeks. I couldn't find safe water - trust me, all of it is disgusting and I barely lived - and I did my best to find the most filling things out there that wouldn't kill us." she sighs, handing everyone their packs. There was even one for Luna.
She pauses, realizing she'd returned at a weird time, and sighs, listening to the Naiad.
Wren sits down with Blade and Pheonix.
(I GTG. See you later - don't do anything interesting without me!)
(Alright lol; let's put this on pause for now until tomorrow)
(sounds good; see ya later, Eclipse!)
(Sounds Good to me! See ya later Eclipse! And i hace to leave as well! Gn y’all!)
(Alright Luna! Gn!)
(Anyone still living?)
"Glad to see you're back," Blade tells Rosjāi. "Find anything Interesting?"
Rosjāi shrugs and hands Blade her pack. "Not really. Just food."
"Fair enough." Blade accepted the pack and slung it over her shoulder. "When should we head out?"
Rosjāi sighs.
"Once we figure out a proper course of action; tell me what happened while I was gone."
Shade quickly summarizes, waving hello. "Not much, We just got a little more context on the whole 'killing someone' thing. Mostly just everyone figuring out their moral quandaries. Also, I would vote for moving out sooner than later, I don't feel like spending the night here if we can help it."
