He groaned. "What if I, like, help with the clean-up? I'm just trying to get away from these things and be normal again, ya know?"
He groaned. "What if I, like, help with the clean-up? I'm just trying to get away from these things and be normal again, ya know?"
"Ya know, that would help…." he trailed off, scratching the back of his head.
((I'm kinda wanting a Vanguard that knows Runner to come down and try ti talk to him, ngl
((Be there tomorrow. I gotta go to sleep.
((ALright! Sweet dreams
(Night!)
((Shark, you still alive?
He looked over to Harper, some of the rage in his eyes fading. "You are probably so confused."
Tempus continued to steadily gaze at Runner. Despite the other's rather distressed appearance, as well as the tone of voice, they continued to show no reaction.
"Well, you are far from normal in this place."
"If you call a world of gods, goddesses, and monsters 'normal', then we got you covered. Need a hellbeast, brute class, can find one just for ya. Need a tekir to screw your day up, I know a pair of them. Oh, OHOHOH! What's even more fun, a mountain full of dragons of all sorts and kinds! …granted, what with the way the relationship between man and dragon is, they'd probably kill you in a heartbeat…"
"Are you done Fatum," the calm voice of Tempus suddenly cut in, silencing their partner.
They looked back to Runner, "Unfortunately, what little privacy you had, is no more. The most you can do is pay attention, and listen to the inhabitants of this realm. Whoever is sent to watch over your actions, will most likely be able to speak more. As for Fatum and I, however, we must be on our way. Our goddess calls, and we obey her call."
Tempus then bowed their head slightly to Runner, seeming to simply phase through the window, once again taking shape of the strange beast they had appeared as earlier. Fatum gave a soft snort, but followed quickly behind their partner, both finally disappearing.
Once the pair had left, did Sakuya finally lift her head. The female stumbled back a step, letting herself fall into a chair. Her entire body was trembling uncontrollably.
His face turned a deep shade of red and his eyebrows were so contorted that they looked buried into his head. He was so mad that all he could spit out between his clenched teeth was, "Vanguard." He began to shake too, but from rage instead of fear, and his fists were drawn so tight he had drawn blood from where his nails met his hands.
((Sorry i was busy, i gtg to bed though so goodnight.
((Goodnight
((How would a Vanguard member he knows be any good at all? At this point, any body who even sneezes suspiciously will set off his Vanguard radar and he'll go ballistic. Not to mention he probably hates all of the ones he knows…
((I meant good for the story, not him, lmao
((Makes sense. Ill get someone who kinda knows what position he's in
So as to not trouble Sakuya any further, Demitri whispered into Runner's ear from where he hid completely in the shadows. "Come outside. We need to talk."
"You're playin' with fire, here…" he growled, but turned to Sakuya. "I need some fresh air. I'll be back." He rubbed the blood from his palm onto what's left of his shirt as he walked.
Demitri, the dark male from when Tessa was trapped in the demon camp, stood outside, head tilted towards the awakening sky. "Are you going to attack me or listen to what I have to say?"
"5 minutes." He didn't seemed to be mad at Demitri, for he thought Demitri was alright. He was just mad.
Demitri shrugged. Good enough. He ran his fingers through his hair. "I think I get what you're going through, but don't get mad if I'm way off. I myself am the son of a psychotic demon queen. She's no Agdrin, but she did rival him so there's that. My father is Death himself." He finally looked at Runner. "So I get why you might be mad or upset. I was watched too. Still am. And having a parent that created you for the sole purpose of being a weapon isn't exactly the best feeling in the world. But don't take it out on others. It's not their fault."
"I'm mad because I now have 5 fucking mystical higher power breathing down my fuck back. And y'all's bullshit is to cause. I just want to be left alone, for fucks sake. Be normal as I can. I get I was made to kill, but I'm done with fighting, done with this magic shit, just done."
Demitri tilted his head. "What mystical higher powers?"
"Whatever fucking gods run this place, you fuckers, and now Agdrin, my fucking father. And who knows what else? I seem to be the Golden Snitch for the worlds biggest fucking Quidditch game."
Demitri ducked his head. "Ah, I don't get that reference, but I'm gonna assume that isn't a good thing." He shifted his weight. "You could go back to Earth. I doubt they'll follow you there. Out of sight, out of mind."
"No, because they tell me I can't They have to keep an eye on me and the shit I do. They're blaming the shit you fucks did on me and making me suffer."
