"I already knew, don't worry. Your secret's safe with me."
"I already knew, don't worry. Your secret's safe with me."
"Oh." She gives him an understanding look, or at least tries too.
He rubbed his nose, watching the woman work on the wing with interest.
"Good, otherwise I'd have to beat the shit out of ya."
Hydrox flashed his fangs again, though it was clear he was simply teasing. These few folks had actually seemed to be sincere so far. The male was good-natured, preferring to keep a relaxed nature, with his own sense of humor.
Miriam gave a sigh, trying to work with the broken wing, having to pause and sit down. Hydrox looked over to his mate, a concerned frown crossing his muzzle, "Miriam…why don't you go lay down for a bit…"
"I'll be fine, just lay down on the floor."
The draconic beast didn't need to be told twice. He simply moved, sliding and rolling onto his stomach. Though he seemed to continue to emit a worried rumble. The tip of his tail started to twitch now and then.
"Sakuya, could you please give me a hand…or anyone. Mean, give you a hands on experience with a broken wing."
Hearing his wife, Hydrox turned his head, giving her a look, "Oh boy, now I'm a practice subject, better get paid for this."
He then winked, chuckling under his breath.
Harper shifts her weight to her left leg and looks at Runner. She instantly thought about her past, how her ex raped when she was 14. She feel to her knees and whimpered. For some reason Runner reminded her of him.
He snorted at the joke, then looked over at Harper, tilting his head. "Uh…you good, Harper?"
"Y-yeah, we are all good. Totally fine Runner." She says, brushing of the fact that she allowed shit to happen to her.
"…." He turned back to Hydrox, confused as all hell.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to snap. I just need some air or a walk or a hug." Harper says lifting her body of the ground and looking around.
((He's gonna be kind of weary for another relationship, so it'll be a little rough in the beginning
He gestured towards the door. "We'll be right here when you get back."
((I understand. and so does harper.
She walks towards the door and open it, she looks at the group and then leaves. She step out and sees black dots all over. She blinks and they wont go away. she sits down and happens to pass out.
Hydrox blinked a bit, then simply gave a partial shrug. Sakuya had come over, helping hold the heavy wing in place as Miriam stood up again, carrying the bandage as well as a heavy wood splint.
The male watched as the girl left, looking back to Runner, "She'll be alright out there. This village is pretty peaceful. If she decides to take a walk, there aren't too many things to worry about…well, I say that now, but what with the sudden appearance of those other deities appearing in this realm, most likely will have other visitors."
"Mostly likely servants will start scouting," Sakuya's soft voice suddenly spoke again.
"Yea," Hydrox gave a soft hiss, wincing as a snap sounded, his wing being moved back into place, the bones being lined up back to their rightful place. The Seranguis' gaze shifted back, "Most of them are pretty laid back, only one you'd have to worry about is the god of madness/chaos' servant. Too damn unpredictable."
Harper wakes up and head back inside. But before she makes it to the door and mysterious figure starts speaking to her.
"Hello Miss. I was wondering what you are doing?"
"Uh, i need to go." Harper says and opens the door and slams it shut. Creepy person, she thought. "Uh guys there is a creepy person outside that was trying to talk to me and I slammed the door shut, and I'm not sure what to do."
Hydrox's body went completely rigid. The look in his eyes were that of dread. His blue eyes shifted quickly to Miriam and Sakuya.
"FuckfuckFUCK! I do not want to be caught like this!"
Even Miriam seemed to become even more stressed as the situation seemed to escalate further. Amber eyes quickly shifted to her husband, a frown appearing on her face. She knew just like her husband, if they were to caught, it would not end well at all. Right then, neither one could afford it; Miriam being pregnant, and Hydrox having come back with a broken wing and other injuries.
Sakuya stood up, moving over to Harper, blue eyes glowing softly. The woman walked past, moving to look out a window. She herself couldn't quite see the figure, or if it was even there anymore. The female shifted her gaze back to the girl who had re-entered the inn.
"I can sense a presence, but the scent is hidden quite well to where even I am having a hard time telling it apart."
"I swear i saw someone." Harper mumbles
He tilted his head. "Let 'im in, I'll handle it."
"But why, we don't even know this person, they could be here to ruin things!" Harper looks at Runner, shocked that he would want to let this stranger in.
"Then I'll fuck him up. If he's bad, then he's waiting right there, waiting for us. At least we'd have the element of surprise if we let him in."
"Runner, that isn't a good idea, you could get hurt or worse. I can deal with losing my only friend right now." Harper gives him a pleading look.
"Then how do we deal with the problem?"
Hydrox looked to Runner. The beast had to stand up, bandaged wing now against his back. His blue eyes glowed slightly. The male's voice was low, "Much as I hate it, I'm gonna have to let you handle this. I cannot let myself be seen, not like this. Any shit starts to get really bad, call. I don't want my inn left in ruins."
Then without a word, with the help of Miriam, she guided her husband to the back room.
Sakuya stood at the door. A small frown appeared on her face, eyes shifting to Runner and Harper. A delicate hand stretched towards the door, slowly unlocking, and opening it for whoever was lurking beyond the safety of the inn.
Harper steps back and draws out her knife, prepared for the worst.
A black mass jets into the room, heading straight for Runner. He snapped his arm out, grabbing a small figure in a large black overcoat by the throat and lifting it into the air. He looked over to Harper with a smile. "Told you."
As soon as whatever had suddenly sprung forward, Sakuya swiftly slammed the door behind. Her head turned, blue eyes settling on whatever or whoever it was that Runner had his hand wrapped around. The frown remained on her face, eyes looking back as the sun was now rising further, morning having certainly come now.
Harper gives a slight laugh to Runner and looks at the figure, and studies the creature.
