CA Verse
Modern Hidden magical societies of monsters
Real World Fantasy
There is Magic that comes from the core of a person. Different Races have different Magics. In the Mundane world there is regular physics
The magic in the CA verse has many forms.
For the Fae it is an outside force that they can tap into through their core, wand or another focuser. Nymphs anchor themselves to an element or piece of nature from which their magic is related to. Some Subgroups of Fae include:
-Pygmy
Fair Folk
(they take the physical appearance of humanlike children, usually of human age 10-7 once fully grown, with youthful faces and bodies, but grow slowly, and mentally can age to be 30. They can manipulate nature and a small percentage can shapeshift into other animals. They are usually found in magical forest villages or communities, with a few burrowing underground or hollowing giant trees)
Pixies
(they take the physical form of a humanoid figure only 3 inches tall, with wings of various animals, from bird to butterfly to bat. They use these wings to flit around nature spreading mischief. Their magic is channeled through their will, which is often petty or childish. They have many different skin colors, from pale blue to bright red. They usually have short hair and sharp features, as well as dress themselves with different flora. They congregate in nomadic tribes and often flit around magically populated areas.)
Fairies
(they take the physical appearance of humanoid figures around 6 inches tall. They (unlike pixies) have unique wings that reflect on the fairies character. They channel their magic by growing dust giving flowers and carry delicate twig like wands. They are vain creatures obsessed with their own beauty and often feel they are 'above' mischief but are just as petty or vengeful as pixies. They generally keep silkworms as livestock and wear silken outfits and slippers. They are attracted to shiny things like mirrors or reflective metals, and often can fight to the death over something as petty as a delicate teaspoon. They live in colonies inside trees.)
Lilliputians
(they take the physical form of a human only 1 inch big. They have no animal features except catlike eyes. They tend to live in family units often inside the walls of houses or other mundane settlements, taking scraps of material that won't be missed. They have heightened senses of smell and eyesight as well as balance. Some say in their oldest form they used to have claws and tails, but those traits died out. They have the coloring and features of normal humans.)
