Origin - How did Jovia originate?

Jovia, alongside its solar system, came into the world naturally, via the acts of Physics. When it was a young planet, strange energy began to form and make up its atmosphere: Magic, if you will, only a more unstable and dangerous version of it.

As Jovia was a planet suitable of life before then, being populated by regular, non-sentient creatures, this energy soon mutated them forcefully, killing off the ones that didn't survive, tainting genes and bloodlines. But for the most part, Jovia was quiet, peaceful, natural selection was in order...

Until a peculiar star fell from the heavens above.

History - What is Jovia’s history?

When the before regular space crystal crossed into Jovia's atmosphere, the magic was absorbed into the surface. But this didn't break it up, no, the magical particles, all different in terms of properties, began to react with the unique minerals inside each 'chamber' of the crystal, each kind of particle being drawn to one chamber in particular. These reactions soon sparked the creation of life in each chamber, and continued even after the crystal continued to fall towards Jovia's surface, and the chambers split away from each other.

All of the shards of crystal, landing in a domain of their own, bore a living creature growing within: Similarly to an animal growing in the womb of its mother, only these creatures were unfamiliar, alien, and most certainly unusual.

They hatched after a few weeks of incubation, the crystal shards making way for the first Jovians, the Deities, infused with the magical particles which helped bring them to life, this allowed them to wield an energy seen nowhere else, apart from in the thicker area of the Planet's atmosphere, or the 'Firnament' as Jovians nowadays would call it. As they went on with their lives, they soon became the rulers of their own clans: The Helicopters situated in the Dark Forest, the Drones situated in the Forbidden Valley, the Spaceships in Space Sector, the Gliders in Seaglass Bay, and the Planes/Jets situated in the Wild Plains.

Despite coming from the same shards, however, for the first few decades, these Deities knew nothing of one another.

Laws of Physics - What are the laws of physics like in Jovia?

The laws of Physics applied to Jovia are relatively similar to the likes of Earth, only lesser known by the general public and by officials. While reality can sometimes be altered by a Deity's magical essence, it's not very common, nor are the Deities even powerful enough to do so.

Magic System - What is the magic system like in Jovia?

Magic is everywhere in Jovia: In the Firnament, the air, and inside of the Deities. Each Deity has their own magical charge, unique to them, that only they can wield. Despite being in the Deities, however, the regular Jovians are unable to control this energy, and can even die if too much gets into their system, same going for the other animals which reside on the Planet's surface.

Technology - What is the level of technology like in Jovia?

Technology is not very advanced at all, magic being the substitute. The Deities provide their underlings for the magical powered devices they need to get by, though the Spaceship clan has been looking into non-magical alternatives.

Inspiration - What were your major sources of inspiration for Jovia?

Robocar Poli (screams)
Yeah this world is... Technically an AU? It's so different though and focuses on more original worldbuilding so it can be considered a unique world lol. The character designs are quite heavily inspired off of the cars and stuff in RCP, if you saw them both compared you'd see the similarities
