It’s a continent, where my story House of Cards takes place.
The continent has four kingdoms, surrounded by unexplored territory. in the center of the kingdoms there is a wide swath of land that makes up the campus of the Spiiranian School for Explorers, whose job is to train explorers.
The four kingdoms are Hearts, Spades, Diamonds and Clubs.

Normal, I guess?
People are born with special skills (element powers, etc), or they can learn skills. Some people have smaller talents like animal communication. And then there are non-humans; winged people, part animal humans, etc. they have their own talent relating to their habitat or family/species. Nothing super set In stone. There are spells, witches/wizards, etc, and lots of different types of spells/magic.
The most advanced tech is slightly more than Steampunk

the quests go in clockwise order, starting with the quester's home kingdom. for Quinn that would be Spades, Hearts, Clubs, and Diamonds.
