Goldcrest

A giant, shining beacon of a city located in the north of Rothary. Despite its size Goldcrest is a city few know much about, being relatively insular and not allowing outsiders inside its gates except for a few rare circumstances. While they do trade with the outside world said trade is done on the grounds outside the city walls overseen by heavily armed guards - the only residents known to step outside the walls at all.

A few people claim to have escaped Goldcrest over the years or know someone who has, talking about a utopia city free of strife and disease but at the same time a gilded cage because the leadership believes being cut off from the world is the only way to maintain that. These claims are unverified, however, and Goldcrest itself remains a mystery that may never be solved.
