Bomb-Oom

Bomb-Ooms are odd creatures native to Marshroom Kingdom that superficially resemble cartoonish bombs. Their bodies are shaped like tall octahedrons, with simple flat "feet" sticking out of the bottom and two large eyes at the front. They do not have any other visible facial features, and aren't capable of vocalizing. They come in a wide variety of hues, with their feet having a darker tint compared to the rest of their bodies.

The most recognizable feature of the Bomb-Oom is its fuse: a long strand of hair-like material that sticks out of the top of its body and drapes over its side.

When Bomb-Ooms are angered or threatened, they may "ignite." This causes their fuse to light with a small flame, which slowly burns it away until the flame reaches the Bomb-Oom's body. As it gets closer to detonation, its body slowly turns a vibrant shade of red. When the fuse runs out, the Bomb-Oom will unleash a small explosive blast. The explosion momentarily stuns the Bomb-Oom, but otherwise does not harm it.

Bomb-Ooms are known for being friendly and calm unless actively provoked. Though they are advanced enough to form small communities on their own, they prefer to stick with their own kind and to stay out of the war between Princess Pear and Mowser.
