Cuim Woods

On the eastern side of Rothary sits the Cuim Woods, a vast stretch of woodlands that rumor says is haunted.

While these rumors persisted well before the The Collapse, afterwards they only grew. Rather than just spirits of the deceased and whatever else, people now believe that the spirits of all those who died during the event were drawn to the forest and are not at rest.

To scholars there is a natural explanation for all of this, of course. The forest has biological reason to produce the mist that seems to surround it forever, and people are simply scared of that which they can't understand so they tend to see things which aren't there.

The locals won't be so shaken in their beliefs, though, and continue to insist the forest is home to spirits.
