The Nightfall Nest

The Nightfall Nest is located on the back of a creature that travels mostly the western part of the world, the creature itself seeming to prefer the more unsettled parts of the world for whatever reason. Years ago some noticed that its back was the perfect place to build a city and managed to do so without the creature caring too much about it.

Loud noises in the night as the creature tries to sleep are not appreciated, and of course any damage to its back that breaks through the thick shell on which the people have built, but otherwise it is content to leave the inhabitants alone. Because of the creature's choice of location the Nightfall Nest has become somewhat of a haven for criminals and those who wish to remain unfound, similar to the Defier Islands, but instead of being defensible because of its positioning the townsfolk are secure in the knowledge that an army could not reach them if they did not wish it to and the creature they call home will keep them safe.
