The Sand Palace consists of the palace itself and the surrounding city. It is centered around a large oasis which lies just outside the palace walls. Other than that, it's completely surrounded by nothing but sandy desert.

The Sand Palace is the oldest city in the Sand Kingdom, with the actual palace itself being the oldest building. No one is sure when the actual kingdom was founded, as it may be the oldest in Pyrrhia, and before year 0, there were no records kept at all.

The great war was centered around Princess Scorpia, who belongs to the Sand Palace. After she stormed the castle at the end of the war and challenged her mother for the throne, the Sand Palace was handed over to Scorpia, who was then crowned queen.
