VC7-DX9 Sleeper Rifle #1 (Bedbug)
Long Range Rifle
One of two Sleeper Rifles in Bedbug's possession. He received these weapons from the Science Division after commissioning a pair of firearms that were light, easy to use, and effective in espionage affairs. Bedbug also requested that the Sleeper Rifles be compatible with Sedative Ammunition in order to facilitate his disturbed machinations.
This particular copy of the rifle was outfitted with a higher level of accuracy in exchange for a lower fire rate.
When the Sleeper Rifle fires its normal bullets, it does nothing special to the gun's targets. The Sleeper Rifle's faster ammo speed may increase the pain and by extension the damage level of its targets.
However, one of the main reasons Bedbug uses the Sleeper Rifle is its Dart Mode. When in Dart Mode, the Sleeper Rifle's regular Armor Piercing Slug (APS) rounds are replaced with Virulent Somnic Infusion (VSI) rounds.
While this cuts damage to the target tenfold, these bullets deliver a concentrated dose of Somnic Venom into the Datastream of the target.
- The Sleeper Rifle's durability isn't anything to write home about, as while its main Nordium receiver component is of average durability, the barrel and the scope of this weapon are weak enough to break when
- The Sleeper Rifle was created with multiple materials all picked with the goal of creating a lightweight long-range firearm that needs only a few shots to inflict serious damage to its marks.
The Sleeper Rifle's receiver component is composed of Nordium, a scarce Metal-Ore composite known for its decent durability and its extremely light weight load compared to most other items.
- The Sleeper Rifle's lightweight nature is one of the main reasons why Bedbug prefers this weapon to other firearms in his arsenal.
Specifically, this weapon weighs two times less than standard firearms of this type, which typically weigh 2220 pounds on average. This means that the two rifles commissioned by Bedbug weigh around 1110 pounds each.
- The Sleep
"Sleeper Rifle", given to the character named "Bedbug".
Apologies for the terrible pun, but I can't think of any better alternatives.-
