Kidnappers with some kind of ties to the Underdark. Their logo is in the shape of a sunburst.

• It seems they're after The Dragon Hoard, if such a thing exists.

The Xanathar Guild is also a criminal syndicate of some kind, but they play closer to the vest than the Zhents. Their activities aren't as widely reported, and they prefer to keep it that way.

It's rumored they're behind a series of kidnappings in the Waterdeep area (which is what they use their signature Sleep Smoke for), including that of Floon Blagmaar.

• Renaer Neverember thought they already had the Stone of Golorr, but apparently they don't, if they were trying to kidnap Renaer to find out where it was.
