The Archaeological Association

The Archaeological Association is often recognized by the gridded pattern of their haa.

The Archaeological Association of The Inbound Lands guides, supports, and publishes the major findings of Inbound history.

Members may apply from any expertise background, but to be included within the official rosters, must devote a percentage of their time to pursuits that support the Archaeological Association: participating in field research, submitting articles for publication, fundraising or organizing activities, and other such areas of support.

Members that devote more time, gain higher ranks within the society, and invitation to specific opportunities within those ranks.

Criticism of the ranking system often points to how some members may rise higher solely due to fundraising and organizing work, without having consistent and rigorous field and academic experience to temper their perspectives. Especially when it concerns the publication and validation of controversial research, critics propose that the current system of ranks makes advancing the field difficult.
