Notable wars - What notable wars has Foxen Embassy participated in?

Most Foxfolk conflicts occurred in the events leading to their flee across The Empty Quarter, during a time that the Foxen refer to simply (and generally succinctly) as "The Challenges."

Since their embedded status in The Inbound Lands, The City of The Fingers has experienced several "minor" sieges - attempts by pre-Unification Birdfolk Flocks to wrest control of the buttes - but none have ever been successful. The Foxfolk politely excuse these as "unfortunate misunderstandings on your part" when in mixed company.

Notes

  • Birdtongue and Common are the primary languages spoken here, as Foxfolk generally refuse to speak Foxen in front of nonfoxen. However, Foxfolken are fluent in both, and are understood to speak Foxen among their own kind.

  • Fox Folk do not fly the standard IBL Trifold Peaks banner; they fly their flag: two stacked triangles, in green and white. Large versions of these are at each of the peaks of The Fingers buttes.

They do, however, post Trifold Banners at the edges of The City of The Fingers, similar to the maritime tradition of the courtesy flag (A courtesy flag, or courtesy ensign, is flown by a visiting ship in foreign waters as a token of respect. It is often a small - that is, smaller than the ship's own national ensign - national maritime flag of the host country). These courtesy flags denote when the traveler is re-entering Birdfolk grounds.
