Umm.... ninth grade

She grew up in the country, but her parents died during her first year of high school. With no family near her, or willing to take her in, she was left on the streets. She dropped out of school and worked part time jobs, always trying to save up and make something of herself. Eventually, she met Milo, who had grand plans of buying the old run down mansion downtown (which everyone thought was haunted) and fixing it up, providing a safe place for lost people like them to stay while trying to survive.

She has a tiny golden mirror from her mother, which is all she has to remember her parents by. It's engraved with her mother and father's initials.
