Casual and comfortable. He doesn't dress to impress anyone because he doesn't have anyone to impress and he values comfort over fashion.
He usually wears just a plain t-shirt or hoodie and jeans
A silver chain that he didn't wear much in the beginning, but started wearing more and more frequently as time goes on.
Timid and quiet. He does open up a little bit with close friends and talks about some things he's passionate about, but he's never truly comfortable with anyone. He can sometimes get a bit obsessive over people, be it positive or negative, and this can sometimes ruin his relationships and make him wonder what's wrong with him.
He's smart, but just in a slower way. He can usually find solutions to problems quickly but doesn't think about the possible consequences of the solution until he's either thought about it afterward or already faced with the consequences.
He's very awkward, so he tends to stutter and fidget with whatever he can get his hands on
Sometimes, his insecurity will make him feel like he's not the way he should be, so this makes him want to be someone else. He's lived his life feeling like he doesn't have much of a purpose, so he is constantly looking for one, which leads to him setting his heart on finding his mother and protecting his loved ones. He lives in a very dangerous environment, so he feels a strong need to survive in order to fulfill his purpose in life.
Major Flaws: he often blames people for things that are either his fault or out of anyone's control, take a lot of things personally, sometimes manipulative (but he doesn't usually realize what he's doing), obsessive
Minor Flaws: overly intellectualizes his emotions, narcissistic, and a wimp
A ridiculous amount of distrust toward people with a criminal background, no matter the crime.
while with Cult and Dani he becomes skilled at hacking and knife fighting
His main hobby is coming up with conspiracy theories, but it's nothing too serious. Other than that, he's not passionate about doing many things

Anxiety. (but it's kind of weird since his emotions kind of shut off during extremely stressful situations, and then he get anxiety/panic attacks during only mildly stressful situations or inconveniences.

His education was inturrupted halfway through his freshman year of highschool. Everything after that was self taught.
Garret grew up with serious parents. They didn't know how to process their own emotions very well, meaning they were never able to teach him anything when it came to feelings. And they were both very different when it came to handling Garret's problems. His dad often invalidated his issues and would often dismiss all his passions while his mom would overly validate him and encourage him on everything he did. This led to him having a strange balance of narcissism and insecurity. His dad didn't really take very much time to bond with him, but his mom did, which caused them to have a much closer relationship than he had with his dad. So when his mom went missing, it made it a lot harder because he didn't really know how to communicate with his dad and they didn't really understand each other. The sudden aloneness that they were hit with put a lot of stress on them to become closer but it never really happened. When the bombs dropped and he was separated from his dad, he had to stick by Cult 's side, for survival and for mentorship. Cult taught him how to hack and
He doesn't like animals as pets. He doesn't see the point in them.
Love interests: Danica Ikeda is a sophomore he met in his math and health classes. They sat next to eachother, but didn't talk very often. Dispite this, he still grew an obsessive attraction to her. They've had to do a health project together and that's when they first started talking. She thought he was a little bit weird, but she wanted to give him a chance (as a friend) so she reached out when the number of disappearances started getting higher. They got closer to eachother when the bombs dropped and became decent friends, but his obsession with her just grew.
-He's unhealthily obsessed with his love interest, Danica Ikeda , but she doesn't reciprocate feelings. He goes to great lengths to try to get her and was even willing to let her brother die, thinking that they could be together if he was out of the way.
-His "moral compass" (which is really just his extreme hate for criminals and crimes in general) gets in the way many times, but he eventually stops being a pain in the ass.

He doesn't have many special possessions, but his chain might be his favorite because it makes him think of life before the bombs. He didn't wear it very often and for some reason it made him think about all the things he had taken for granted.
his go-to is knives, but he doesn't have a singular favorite
Deer (he doesn't really like animals cos he thinks they're dirty and gross, but he doesn't see deer as dirty because "have you ever seen a dirty deer?")
Enemies: Garret sees Dominick Ikeda as an enemy because Dom tells Dani that Garret obviously has feelings for her and that she shouldn't involve herself with him because she can do a lot better. Garret sees this as a personal attack on him and starts believing that the only reason Dani doesn't reciprocate feeling for him is because her brother tells her not to, even though she just isn't attracted to him.
