Redtail is muscular and tall. She has very large wings, due to her SkyWing father, and a long sweeping tail, which still has a barb on the end.

Redtail wears black earrings and always has on dramatic winged eyeliner with a red stripe.

Redtail is commanding and intimidating when on duty. She is a fast fighter and very unpredictable when angry or upset. She can be loud and a bit scary, but when she's hanging out with her friends she turns into a totally different person. She's happy, positive, carefree, and almost apathetic. Redtail is very different when relaxed.

Redtail is motivated by a want to do the right thing. She wants power and control, but only if she can use it to benefit others. This is why when the great war started, Redtail saw the perfect opportunity to betray the evil Queen Glimmer, and fly off to the Rainforest.

Redtail can sometimes be a little mean when giving commands, and while her soldiers love and respect her, she is a bit harsh to them without meaning to. She loses her temper easily and when that happens she gets irrational.

Redtail is a good military leader and strategist. She helped Angelica with a lot of the plans for the war, and the two of them together were unstoppable.

Redtail enjoys relaxing with her friends, and the excitement of being in a battle.

Redtail is aggressive, direct, easily angered, and lovable all at the same time. She cares very deeply about her friends and kingdom, and is respected throughout the citizens due to her remarkable leadership and planning skills, and her carefree energy. She's rambunctious and reckless when hanging out with friends and grabbing drinks at the nearest bar with her colleagues, but when doing her job in stressful situations, Redtail becomes an unstoppable force of nature who will do anything to get her job done.

Redtail has graduated school.

Redtail was born in the Sky Kingdom, but her parents moved to the Sand Kingdom when she was 2. Her father was a SkyWing and her mother was a SandWing, but despite this Redtail never felt like an outsider. She loved the Sand Kingdom and when she got older she eventually made her way into the army and landed a position as the commander. When the war broke out over Pyrrhia, Redtail gathered up a small troop of loyal SandWings and flew them all to the Rain Kingdom to join Scorpia and help her fight. Redtail helped plan all the attacks and participated in the Sea Palace attack, the Ice Kingdom assault, and went with Scorpia and Angelica to the Sand Kingdom to challenge the queen. While there, Redtail was caught by surprise and murdered by Glimmer.

Redtail's death in Glimmer's secret hiding room, inspired Scorpia to turn the room into a memorial for all the lives lost in the war.
