Throthgar was born in the chaos of Perith in a time when the dragons had much more cruelty and reign. He vowed from childhood he would fight them if he could, and joined an adventuring guild in Myrin. He ended up serving with Naja Walker and a few others to fight, and in the aftermath Naja had Indris Kibeth-Fang who was clearly Throthgar's daughter. But he could not come home despite her summons because he had to help fight the dragons, and did not come back until Indris was an adult and came to get him herself with the demon hunting skills she had learned growing up for exactly that purpose. His return got Naja pregnant again, bearing their second child Dimira Walker, but his work was never truly done so he traveled more but made sure to stop by every now and again to not be absent like he was when Indris was growing up.

Throthgar lived to see Dimira marry Juliana, but died before Naivara Walker was born. Dragonborn naturally have a lifespan where 80 is the upper end, so the fact that he lived to be 86 was quite a feat in and of itself. When he passed Throthgar was buried with the rest of the nobility in a nearby cemetery, and the entire family was devastated, feeling the loss and his absence for years to come.
