Miranda was born the only daughter to the king and queen at the time, and they insisted she be raised with proper education on how to take over the country when the time came. Despite being a princess she was never overly full of herself, always reminded that her place was to serve the people as well as rule them and she should not think of herself as any better than the castle servants or the common folk.

Still she attended parties put on by her parents and other nobility, and it was at one such party she met Irving. He was nobility himself, but seemed unaware of who she was outside of being nobility too and that was what drew her to him; Irving did not see her as different, and so he did not treat her different. His love for her was earnest and not drawn from some desire to have the power of the throne when he married her.

In time she revealed the truth to him, knowing she could not lie forever, but nothing changed between them. They were still in love, and that was what mattered. Eventually her father died simply due to his age, and her mother abdicated the throne to Miranda and Irving, as they had married a few years prior. The pair ruled for some time, and even had a daughter, but then an accident claimed Miranda's life....
