---Meets Lyyn in 5th grade, instantly becomes her friend, finishes high school with her and Peggy, helps Lyyn through everything.
---Father died year before he went to high school (13). Spent a year without seeing Lyyn or Peggy at school. Took theatre classes with Lyyn when she came to high school. Helped Lyyn get out of bad situations and became a lot closer to her. When Lyyn was stabbed, he immediately dropped everything and ran to the hospital. He helped pay her bills and got her home, where they told her mother that she was mugged (16). A few weeks later, when Peggy had stopped talking to them altogether and was avoiding them, he told Lyyn that she was his best friend. The next year (17), his mother and sister (11) died in a car crash, hit by a drunk driver and thrown off the road. He turned 18 a few months later, claimed the rights to the house, etc. He finishes high school and asks Lyyn to take care of the house for him, putting her name on the deed. He says goodbye four months later and moves to Delaware for college.
---Six years of college later, Beckett moves back to Seattle to be with Lyyn again. During their time apart, they kept in contact but never got to see each other, because they were both always either:

b. at school
