Sakchai
A popular YouTuber who recently rose up as a DJ/producer.
34
Male (he/him)
5'11"
172 lbs.
Lightly muscled, thick waist, broad shoulders. Lean legs.
Raven black
Undercut with long front bangs, usually kept back in a man bun or else swaying into his face.
Human; Thai-Malaysian-American
Darker bronzed, cold undertones.
Charcoal grey
Sometimes rocks a light goatee, or even a light circle beard, but generally clean-shaven.
Lots of tattoos, on arms, neck and chest. Full lips. Some rolling acne scars on his cheeks. Takes very good care of his looks and hygiene, always looks put together.
Tilts his head when he's focusing on someone or on a thought. Movements are slow and deliberate and controlled, but his words are clear and fast and sharp. Has a drawl reminiscent of a Texan accent, especially when he's relaxed.
Has been accused of sociopathy: it's a combination of his blank gaze when he talks/makes jokes, and his seeming lack of empathy or kindness when it comes to others. Has an excellent Poker Face.
Being somebody. Creating a balance between popularity and personal privacy, becoming (and staying) a well-adjusted adult with a house and a car and a loving spouse.
Doesn't like when people take everything sooooo fucking seriously. It's just words, it's just shade, no one's dead.
Often called out for bluntness, and being unapologetic about it. Quite likes getting a rise out of people, seeing how far he can push their patience: they aren't his friends, and he doesn't know them like that, so it's funny to him when they take what he says so personally.
Absolutely RUTHLESS, business-wise: will cut ties even if it hurts both him and the other person to do so, because he believes it will benefit him, perhaps even the other party, in the long-term.
Editing on a time limit, ballin' on a budget, makin' coin.
Cooking, though he's no good at it: he prefers to chop things and then let Erika make the five-star meals.
Known for tasteful jump-cuts, dry humor and sarcasm in his videos.
Sakchai is a cutthroat business-person, who isn't afraid to make strong statements and jokes that may make others uncomfortable. Thinks that people take everything too serious nowadays, that everything is too politically correct, and wants to change that. He's an equal-opportunity mocker, and makes of fun of himself as much as he does over every other gender, ethnicity, sexuality, religion; and always with a straight face. Anytime he makes a claim of any sort, he has receipts, and he knows how to back himself up: never makes baseless accusations or blind boasts.
Despite his reputation as an aggressive individual, Sakchai does not start needless, real conflict out of nowhere, and he even makes a conscious effort, after years of experience, to insult himself as well as others in the same speech. He believes in free speech but also in facing the consequences of doing so, and it's more trouble than it's worth for him to start real life drama. Fake drama is all fun and games to him, but he tries to keep his work and personal life very separate from each other. He does not get offended, irritated, or angered easily, and this may be what enables him to say the things he does and still retain his fans: when someone lashes out at him, he can laugh at it, and rarely takes it seriously, sometimes even agreeing with the opposite party, because what sort of joke or critique isn't based in truth?
Likes experiments, trying new things, and even if he loses interest, he always follows through, finishes the job, out of obligation. Hates leaving anything unfinished, an assignment or a fight or a conversation. Very driven, and goal-oriented: when he has his eyes on something (or someone) there's nothing that can stop him, nothing that can distract him. He fell hard, way back when, for his current fiance, and spent nearly a year courting her: his patience in the face of eventual results knows no bounds.
High school diploma.
Grew up in Dallas, Texas. At home and on TV, people said the craziest things, threw words around, insulted and yelled and swore. There was no censorship, and there was no delicacy. Sakchai grew numb to outrage of any kind at an early age.
His parents should have divorced, but they never did. Sakchai's father once left him at a playground, saying his mom would pick him up. Sakchai's mother never came. Sakchai trekked the kilometer home in the dark, and found his parents arguing, his mother yelling that no one told her to pick up her son it was the father's turn that day, the father screaming that he'd TOLD her and god what a terrible parent she was, couldn't even remember to pick up her own child and leaving Sakchai in the dark like that.
It was a constant battle and competition, the need to one-up each other, and often without any consideration for Sakchai at all: throwing him into arguments, using him to get back at each other, tricking him into siding with one of them to have the "upper-hand" over the other, so to speak. He stopped trying to stay out of it completely, because when he did they would turn on him in private, how could he not support them, how dare he side with the other, didn't he see how hurt they were, just try to understand sweetie.
Sakchai was not an angry teen, but he was a very stoically rebellious one. He got tattoos without asking and with his parents money; he stayed out late and didn't apologize for not calling; he didn't apply to a single college, so there was no risk at all of him being coerced into going to any that he could have been accepted to. He left home with his high school diploma and two suitcases, got a new phone number, and has refused to face or even speak to either of his parents ever since. He hopes they're both dead by now.
Sakchai refuses to let his past affect him in the present, and does not open up about it easily: it's perhaps one of the only subjects that could truly piss him off, even hurt him, if her were to be attacked about it.
Throughout his childhood Sakchai often found solace in music, internet forums, radio interviews, podcasts, funny videos. He wrapped himself in the experiences of people on the internet, in the comfortable lifestyle of celebrities, in the relationships he built with pen-pals online, in heart-shredding lyrics and instrumental solos that beat louder than his heart ever could.
It was just a pipe dream at first, something Sakchai did when he wasn't working his day job: making videos where he just talked and crudely edited, spat harsh words at strangers on the internet or of the real world, critiquing systems and works and people and recent news and nazis. It almost surprised him, how much anger and loud opinions were fighting to escape him, to be heard. His wording and his presentation became cleaner over time, not nicer but more suave, more professional, not loud and obnoxious and but well-researched and authoritative. It was a matter of earning credibility, and to entertain, but also to distract, to create an outlet; and maybe Sakchai wanted to show it was okay to be angry, to be critical, to have harsh opinions of things that weren't right and that weren't fair.

He loves them more than anything or anyone, despite others doubting their relationship often, unable to believe that Sakchai has a heart, or that Erika, such a kind and warm person, would have feelings for someone like him. Her voice features often on his tracks, though they aren't professionally trained.
He's attracted to Excellence.
- Turtlenecks and blazers, tight jeans or khakis, very form-fitting t-shirts.
- Not big on jewelry but does wear necklaces, sometimes chokers, because Erika tells him he looks hot with them ((he does)).
- Only wears designer shoes, claims it's because of the quality and not the brand name.

YouTuber, and DJ/Producer.
Has been a YouTuber for years, almost as far back as it's creation. His channel was built on critique and lightly mocking politicians, trends, and other people on the platform. In recent years he's tapered off into less aggressive content, and features his fiancee a lot, but his reputation precedes him and probably always will. It doesn't bother him.
In the last three years he's risen high in the ranks of the music industry, first starting his own record label and releasing some productions of his own, before taking on new talent and producing quite a few major stars. His most recent group, Ursa Major, has brought him back to the for-front of the news with their recent rise to success.
Democratic socialist, has some anarchist leanings.
Believes in free speech, but not without consequences.
Agnostic; doesn't particularly believe but, as his fiance is devoutly Jewish he's willing to suspend disbelief, for their sake.
Just got a jacuzzi installed into his and Erika's condo, and boy is it great for relaxing as well as some sexier stuff.
Black, especially likes the color on Erika's lips.
Loves dogs.
Words, always.
