her fear of police and soldgers runs deep in her, from watching her brother die, to nursing Niomi back from the brink of death after she was attacked. She can not and will not trust them

-she will shut off and be unable to listen or speak to anyone sometimes

She has a soft, strong but quiet soul

she belives it is time for Hasna to exist as its own country, not under anyone else's rule. She saw her younger brother, get killed as a child for hitting a policeman with a ball while he was playing in the street. She has seen the injustice that plauges her country and she knows it is time to end it.
