Neren didn't really have many motivations when he was alive. Mainly just to be happy, make his family happy as well (katra was a much nicer person back then), and just kinda 'go with the flow of things'

His complacency with how things were could be considered his biggest flaw, though he was just the kind of guy to take things as they come instead of worrying about things that weren't issues

He didn't exactly have any prejudices, though he also wasn't afraid to stand up to his younger cousin when Yumi was being annoying.
