Born as the princess heir to Alfia (a matriarchal kingdom), and was pressured by her family (especially her mother) to be (in Rowana's mind) perfect, because of her mother's own insecurities as queen, and wanting the best for her daughter. Being a perfectionist by nature, but not having the patience to go through with her plans of perfection, this put a heavy load on Rowana. Eventually, as a young girl (around 5th grade level in our world), she had an emotional breakdown, which caused a branch of the world tree to assume she needed help and break into the dining room in the middle of a royal dinner party. After that, she was sent to Eengloh, the realm of mages, where she learned to control her powers. She also met Addy (Adelaide) and Kai there, and all 3 eventually became the members of Eengloh's ruling mage council.
Tutored to about 5th grade level, then continued her education in Eengloh. Very knowledgable about anything that has to do with ruling a kingdom, magic or water, because she actively does her research if and only if she thinks it can benefit her (she does often learn new things trying to entertain herself while bored, but that’s not really active research).
First, definition of alba sanctum: A collection of animal species native to Eengloh that evolved, in the once very dim light of Eengloh (which gets brighter as the years progress due to the souls of mages adding to the world tree) to have very high intelligence (possibly equivalent to humans) and pale white coloring.
Rowana is roommates of sorts with a little alba sanctum fox that just decided one day that her house looked like a nice place to live. They live in mutual judgement and secret liking of each other.
Is a vegetarian, mainly because of her recognition of the intelligence of the alba sanctum, and the general hippy-ish culture of Eengloh.
Ace Duran, Sylvi Duran. Holly Eide, William Eide. (Holly marries Free, Ace marries Jacob).
Scones dipped in groundnut pudding (Mboh)
Frog.
Doesn't particularly like fighting, but prefers to fight with her water magic when absolutely necessary.
A piece of the tree branch that she accidentally summoned as a child, prompting her parents to send her the Eengloh to learn to control her powers.
