Born to a brothel-girl. Pirus lives in Tuvalla, but with his mother rather than the Mayadón's family. He is an open secret to the point that he has naturally gained the Bastard's Surname and has a relationship with many of his siblings (especially Pirel and Laute; they often sneak away to the market to see him, aided by Llorel and generous servants).

Llorel has gifted Pirus various books, though he has little means to learn how to read them.
