"Oh." He nodded, seeming deep in thought. "Hey, uh….Maddie?"

“Mhm?”

He rubbed the back of his neck, not meeting your gaze. "So, once you guys get done with…y'know, with helping that girl…where are you gonna do? I mean, what are you gonna go? Uhh…" He shut up, looking supremely unhappy with himself.

“What am I gonna do?” Maddie traced circles in the ground, thinking, “Well, I don’t know, in all honesty.”

He stayed silent for a while, staring out at the valley. "You guys could come back here," he said suddenly. "If you wanted, I mean."
(by the way, I don't know if I ever mentioned this, but Crash has an oddly deep voice for a thirteen year old. It's sort of soft and gruff. Idk, just a random fun fact lol XD)

Maddie gave a breathy laugh, “Maybe. We’ll see.”
(Annnd I actually have to go for a while, I’ll be on later though!)

Crash's face cleared. "Okay……. I guess it would make sense if some of you wanted to set up your own territories somewhere else. More elbow room that way."

Shirt full of plants, Nathan climbed back up the hill to the girls. "What'd I miss?" he asked, collapsing onto a boulder.

"Nuthin'" Crash said. "What are you gonna do after you help that girl find…whatever it was?"

"Her friend Celina. And, I'm not sure. I don't have anything waiting for me back there other than Lillian. And I imagine I could get her to go wherever I go. She's always followed."

Crash looked confused. "Lillian? Who's she?"

"My girlfriend," Nathan laughed.

"Oh! I didn't know you had one. I bet you want to see her again pretty bad."
(I gotta go eat lunch, be back in a bit)

He nodded slowly. "We're used to travelling and being away."

(sorry, ended up taking a nap and helping out with some cooking as well)
"I guess my mom did tell me that humans don't have territories like us. And that you don't get married for a really long time. I don't see why, but…..there's a lot about humans that I don't understand."
Luke's voice came drifting over the hill, sounding a bit out of breath. "We're a complicated bunch," he said, walking into view with an armful of plants. "But believe me, some of us get pretty territorial. Just look at the gangs and their turf wars."
"Where?" Crash glanced around. "I don't see anyone."
Luke gave a pained smile and let the matter drop. "Well, Nate, did we find everything we need? I'm ready to get this over with."

"Yeah, I think we've got it all. Where'd Esme disappear to?"

"As I recall, she said she'd be back once she scouted out a safe route. I'll bet she'll show up pretty soon, it's past midday." Luke ruffled Crash's hair. "Guess this is goodbye for now, bud."
Crash huffed. "Bye."
(aaaand I forgot something, gimme twenty minutes XD)

Nathan patted Crash's shoulder. "Take good care of the girls," he whispered dramatically.

(sorry) Crash snorted. "Yeah right. They wouldn't let me if I tried."
