“Same.” I said. even though the floor wasn’t quite comfy, right now I felt my eyes slowly closing. I tried to keep then open.

(I have the same problem, maybe Amber does too)
"Go ahead and get some rest, Mads," Luke said. "I'll keep watch."
I nodded slowly and breathed out deeply, getting ready to get at least 10 minutes of sleep. “Thanks, Luke.” I said before I closed my eyes.
"No problem," you heard him say.
(It's been a day or two since Maddie got a chance to sleep, hasn't it? lol. I have to go, but Amber, if you get back on then I believe it's your turn, and I'll reply when I get the chance)
(Ok bye)
I slipped into uneasy sleep, half awake most of the time but forcing my eyes shut. My dreams were filled with images of Blake and his minions. The image of Crash’s body kept coming into my mind, making me restless.

(might be a tiny bit late to arrive today, gonna be somewhere at the usual time)
There was a large, furry, blue-eyed creature perched on a rock and staring at Nathan curiously. It looked like a red panda, but the size of a horse, and blonde instead of red. It tilted its head at him curiously.
Nathan lowered his arms slightly: the creature didn't seem vicious. He approached it with slow, cautious steps. "Hey, buddy," he said calmly, testing its reaction.
The beast sat back, flipped it's striped tail, and shifted into the form of a teenage girl. She smiled in a perky, inquisitive way.
"Who're you?" Her voice was cheerful and almost annoyingly high pitched. "You're not Crash."
Nathan stared for a moment, stunned. "No, I'm not Crash, but I'm a friend of his."
"A friend?" She hopped down from the boulder and circled you. "But demons don't have friends. Not boy demons, anywayz. And you're a Hooman! I thought we eats Hoomans…." She frowned, puzzled. "I bet you're lying."
(lol this girl literally has no brain)
Nathan shook his head. "I'm a different type of human, though. You wouldn't want to eat me."
"Ohhhh!" She stepped away from you. "Okay. A diff'rent type that's friends with Crash? Where is Crash? He here now? I waz waiting for him but he left and I waz gett'n lonely…" she sniffed and pouted.
Nathan laughed mirthlessly. "He just went for a walk, but I'm sure he'll be back soon and spend loads of time with you." Nathan turned around and was about to step away.
"Nuuu, don' go!" She bounded after you. "I like you, you look smart 'n strong 'n cool. What're you doing here? Are you gonna stay? Huh? Are you? Huh?"
Nathan eyed her warily. "Um, I'm not staying, nope."
She went limp. "Awwww!"
She seemed like she was going to say more, but then a loud, angry bark rang out from down the slope. The girl brightened and glanced towards the sound. "Crash?"
"Hiss!" Crash's voice was distant, but threatening. "I told you to leave!"
"Eheh….." The girl, Hiss, turned back into a red panda and whisked away through the trees.
Crash appeared a moment later, dragging a deer. He sighed feelingly. "Hey, uh….sorry about her. Did she bother you?"
Nathan shrugged awkwardly. "Nah, it's fine, don't worry." He nodded at the deer. "Nice catch."
Crash nodded proudly. "Thanks. There should be enough for all of us." He shuffled his feet, looking uncomfortable. "That was Hiss, by the way. She's a demoness that lives nearby. She keeps bugging me, even when I ignore her. I thought she'd leave if I wasn't around, but…" He growled. "Girls are so weird and annoying and confusing."
Nathan laughed for real. "You're telling me." He smiled and shook his head. "Well, I guess we should get back to Luke and Maddie."
He smiled back and picked up the deer. "Yeah."
The two boys headed back to the house in silence.
(Psst, are you there Carys?)
They reached the cave and Crash ducked inside, tossing the deer onto the floor. Luke, who'd been in the middle of a huge yawn, scooted away indignantly.
"Easy there, punk. Mads is finally getting some sleep. Is that supposed to be supper?"
"Yes," Crash said shortly. "You can cook your part if you want, but do it outside. I don't like smoke."
"Fine, jeez." Luke glanced at Nathan and grinned. "Find anything useful?"
