(true. one second)
(ok….grumpy character incoming) Suddenly, there was a loud noise from an alley nearby. A trash can lid bounced into the street, followed by an angry cat. There was a loud groan.
Nathan shot up from his seat, hand flying to the dagger concealed in his coat. "Who's there?" he shouted.
A teenage boy stumbled into the open, rubbing his forehead. He had scruffy black hair, dark eyes, and a confused scowl. "Me," he said groggily. "Where's here?"
Nathan gripped the dagger beneath the fabric. "Cedarvale Park." he told the boy carefully.
The boy squinted at Nathan. "A park….? Wait, why are all these buildings here? I didn't say there could be buildings."
"You didn't sa-" Nathan stopped himself. "Who are you?"
He shook his head to clear it and folded his arms. "Name's Crash. I'm a demon. I live in a forest, and I don't know how I got here. Who are you?"
"Crash. How fitting. I'm Nathan." He looked him over. "What dimension?"
"What's a dimension?"
He paused, then shrugged. "I live on a mountain by a waterfall, in a cave."
"Ok. How did you get here?" Nathan loosened his grip on the knife, pushing away memories brought back of Crash's kin.
"Dunno. Tripped over a rock, I guess. Hit my head. When I stood up, I was here." He glanced up. "Oh, and it was daytime a second ago. I musta fallen asleep."
"Clueless. Typical." Nathan murmured. "Are you glamoured?"
"Glammered?" He tilted his head. "What's that? Are you trying to insult me or something?"
This got a laugh. "No, it's not an insult. Forget it." Nathan shook his head. He debated whether he should get Crash somewhere safe or something. Not that he'd be willing.
He glanced around, sniffing the air. "Smells like a whole lot of humans around here. THat's good, I might be hungry later. Have you seen any deer?"
Nathan's eyes widened. He would definitely have to hide him somewhere. "Yeah, I've got some. Just follow me." he said, starting to walk away.
"Good. Are they alive? Deer don't usually live in cities, do they?"
"No, they don't. Humans are weird, keeping deer as pets," he grumbled.
Human, Nathan laughed in his head. "Humans are weird, all right." he called back.
"So, where exactly are we going?"
(I’m back should I just hop in, my character she could Fit in with the scene)
