"So what's up with you?" Nykidia said turning to Teresa.

“Just stuff.” She said

"Got outside much?" She asked reaching for a juice.

Cade ran underneath a giant oak tree, the branches barely blocking any rain. He sighed, shoving his hands in his pockets as he stood in his rain-soaked clothes while he waited for the rain to pass.

"Hey! Who's out there in the rain?" Nykidia asked looking out the window.

(Would Cade know about the in hiding people?)

"Should I bring him in?" She asked Teresa, as she peered out the window. "He looks cold." Night added.

“If you want, but wait one sec.” she got up and pressed a button. The room appearance shifted and looked like a very abandoned building

Cade stared up at the sky through the tree's leaves, watching to see if the storm would leave soon. As soon as it stops, I should be able to see more clearly. Maybe I can find the path again. He thought to himself.

Nykidia ran out into the rain giggling. She loved rain. The dark skies, the way it sounded, the smell. It seemed so refreshing. "Hey!" Nykidia yelled running over to the boy.

"S**t." Cade cursed, looking over his shoulder to see a girl running towards him. He swiftly removed his knife from it's holster and pointed it at her, taking a few steps back. "What do you want?"

Alice grinned, and it looked like the grin of a monster. "The cooks are…." her smile grew, "Indisposed. You will cook tonight's meal, which will be… Head Cook's youngest daughter… the heart of the butler's son.. a finger or two from a maid? I'm leaving you in charge!"

"Holy Crow!" Nykidia yelped jumping backwards. "Calm down, man. I just wanted to know it you wanted have more shelter than the silly little tree."

Cade lowered his knife ever so slightly. She seemed friendly enough, but everyone had something to hide. "Who are you?"

"I'm Nykidia," She said sticking out a bandaged hand for him to shake. "And you are?"

Teresa watched from the window, she had her favourite dagger in hand just in case.

Scarlet blanched, freezing up completely when Alice leaned even closer. "Y-Yes Mother." She squeezed her eyes shut just in time to feel Alice's wet, bloodied tongue on her cheek.

"Hold on, I'm not done asking questions." Cade shot back. "Do you work for Queen Alice? Are you associated with her?"

Nykidia quickly grabbed his arm and twisted his arm behind his back. "Why would I be with the filth that forced us to…" Nykidia trailed off realizing she had just about given away that they were in hiding. "No. I am not with Alice." She said almost spiting the word Alice off her tongue.

Cade didn't even flinch as she twisted his arm behind his back. He nodded, then casually smirked. "You trailed off there. There's more of you, huh? What did the queen force you to do?"

(ahh I forgot how much I hated Alice)
