Halo shakes his head. "John. Don't you remember. We're both unable to die. We're safe together. It's only you and me. Hush, it's okay. It's okay." He ran a comforting hand through John's hair, kissing his temple, his forehead, his cheeks and his lips. "I won't let anything happen to us." He holds John, kissing him sweetly.
The thought hit him with surprise. He’d forgotten in his panic, that neither of them would end up like the name tattooed on his arm. John held onto Halo tightly, another boom of thunder coming from the sky and he flinched. “Do I have PTSD Halo?” John whispered, barely more than silent as he asked the question.
Halo held John, hushing him gently as he kissed his cheeks sweetly. "It's alright, John. I've got you." He mutters. He looks at John and bites his lip. "I think you do, baby." He whispers, sighing softly.
“What am I… what am I supposed to do?” John whispered, sapping warmth and strength off Halo. He felt lost. The storm outside mirrored the storm in his head, and each crack of lightning was like an unwanted memory.
Halo runs a hand through his hair. "Hush.. it's okay. We'll work on therapy, we'll get through this together. Okay?" He mumbled as he kisses John's cheeks gently. He rocks John back and forth. He hated seeing the love of his life in pain.
“Okay.” John responded softly, wiping at his eyes slightly. Together. They’d get through this together. John sighed and closed his eyes, pulling away slightly from Halo as he said quietly, “I’m sorry I’m such a mess…”
Halo smiles softly. "You're my mess." He replies softly, kissing his lips softly. He would do whatever it took to help his fiance. He would do anything for the other.
John kissed him back, like a single note of a song. He loved Halo, he really did. And John knew, at that single moment, that it would get better. And the storm in the background seemed to fade as John kissed his love again and again.
Halo smiles, cupping John's cheeks. He was completely soaked, but he was taking care of John. That's all he needed. "How about a shower and getting warm?" He asks, smiling a little, as he kisses John again and again.
“Yeah, that would be nice.” John managed a tiny smile, his hand finding Halo’s and intertwining their fingers. Halo’s hand was soft and warm, and John held onto it tightly. His anchor, his love, his fiancé. Halo.
Halo smiles and kisses John's lips softly. He holds the others hand with a soft smile. He stood and walked John to the bathroom. He kisses John's hand, smiling a little. John was his everything. His light. He smiles gently.
John slowly peeled off his soaked clothing, shivering from the bite of open air on his skin. He glanced at Halo, fondly remembering the time they had together in John’s old tent with a tiny smile.
Halo prepares the warm water, turning the knob and hums softly. He squeaks when he sees John, covering his eyes. "Do you want to shower first or me?" He asks, avoiding eye contact and getting soft, fluffy towels.
John let out the tiniest of laughs at Halo’s reaction, “Would you care if I went first?” He wrapped his wings around himself, even though they weren’t much warmer.
"Go ahead, love." He says happily, taking a deep breath. He runs a hand through his dampened hair. He hums softly and shakes his head tiredly.
John slid into the warm water and rinsed himself off, happy to warm his wings too. He closed his eyes and stood under the water a bit longer than necessary, just letting himself relax. To avoid facing his conscience, his past, his everything. John forced himself to finish up in a the shower and peaked his head out then called, “Halo, um, where did you put the towels?”
Halo was sitting in the bathroom, using the heat of John's shower to his use. He smiles and stands when he sees John. He carries a towel to him, smiling softly.
John took it with a small smile, pecking Halo on the lips after he wrapped the fuzzy towel around himself. “Thank you, love…” He really didn’t know what he’d do without Halo.
(How were finals?)
Halo nods and smiles sweetly. "Of course, love. It's not a problem." He kisses John sweetly before poking his chest. "Now, go get dressed and comfortable in bed. I'm going to take my shower and then we can cuddle." he says, a slight laugh in his gentle voice.
(Not bad, I think I got A on most of them, except for english probably (I’m terrible at essay writing oof))
“Okay,” John let out a tiny laugh, despite everything that happened. Halo knew how to make him happy. He left the bathroom and slipped into comfortable, lose clothing before laying on the bed. He closed his eyes, taking a deep breath. His fear still lurked in the corner of his mind, but he ignored the feeling and focused on thoughts about Halo.
(That's not to bad!)
Halo nods and smiles softly before climbing into the warm shower. A soft noise escapes his throat as he relaxed. He loved the feeling of the warm water running down his skin, warming his delicate body up. He exits the shower, grabbing his towel and placing his pajama's on. He exits the bathroom and walks to John's side, kissing his lips sweetly. "Hey, love." He says happily.
John smiled, catching Halo’s hand and intertwining their fingers as he kissed him back, “Hey love,” He focused on Halo, the love of his life, instead of anything else. His star in the night sky.
Hale smiles, squeezing their hands gently, kissing him lightly with gentle lips. "I love you." He mutters softly, resting his forehead on his shoulder. He smiles and kisses his shoulder before relaxing next to him. He loved the other unconditionally. He relaxed and sighs happily, nuzzling into his shoulder.
John fluttered his wings around them, brushing against Halo’s wings. “Thank you for taking me out flying today…” Even though it didn’t end well… “We should go to the town tomorrow.” John smiled and moved to curl his arms around Halo’s waist lovingly.
Halo nods and smiles. "Darn that storm. You were doing so well." He giggles softly, kissing his cheek. "It's no problem, my love." He kisses him softly and relaxes, sighing happily. He nods. "I agree with you. I needed to get some stuff." He giggles and nuzzles the other.
