"I didn't say anything. Let's go." He started limping again.
"I didn't say anything. Let's go." He started limping again.
"Yes, you did. And you're telling me." Elise walks with him but doesn't stop.
Havenwood twitched and didn't answer.
Don't be rude to the lady, Artemis. Snapped a rather feminine voice.
"'Cuse you? Who was that?" Elise's head whipped around.
(I like that she's feminine that sounded weird but Havenwood with a sassy woman counselor is the best)
(yes I was thinking the same thing, like that shit would be funny as hell)
"I don't know," Havenwood growled.
"That didn't sound like any of the gods I know." She studied his face. "You do know. You're being too protective about it, that's what gives you away." She crossed her arms. "Why are you keeping so many things from me all of a sudden?"
(wait but what's the name of his trait? Like its actual name? Like Elise's is Conscience?)
(I might name her Perfection or some kind of synonym for it.)
"I don't know," Havenwood grunted again, continuing to limp on, squishing the fish in his hand.
(Perfection is good, what about Polish? Or Sleek?)
"You do know. It wasn't Conscience and I don't think there's anyone else around, it wasn't me or you. But you know." She squinted at him. "Don't make me mad, please."
(Mmmm no I'll look at some stuff.)
Havenwood shook his head. "I don't know, why can't you understand that?"
"I would drop it if only you weren't so terribly bad at lying." She insists, keeping his pace.
(I think Perfection is good. What if Conscience and Perfection ganged up on one of them?)
(The best person to do that would probably be Havenwood, since he's already kinda shaky with Perfection around)
"I'm not lying, Elise."
(Elise is kinda emotionally unstable but she's had enough trauma already so sure.)
"If it happens again, you have to tell me." But Elise dropped the subject, helping him walk again.
(My space key is SQUEAKY AND IT'S DRIVING ME INSANE)
(Sounds goooood. also oof)
Havenwood limped in pain filled silence, biting his tongue angrily.
"You bit your tongue. You are hiding something. I'm not gonna press it, but…if something's hurting you besides the giant fall thing, I'd like to know." She responded.
(make Perfection speak up this is getting dull)
(uGh I WAS GOING TO HOLD ON)
You'd better tell her. Hissed the voice.
Shut up. Havenwood growled back.
(I is impatient)
'Cuse me, who was that? Elise asks. She just knew Havenwood was hiding something. He was a terrible liar.
It's no one, Elise.
Mhm, you say so, honey. Gods, lying to your girlfriend.
Again - who are you? Elise asks, not meeting Havenwood's eyes.
Havenwood wasn't looking at her anyway, just limping forward determinedly.
Me? No, I think Havenwood should tell you.
Elise looked over at him, her fingers brushing the hand that was looped around her shoulder. "Well?"
Havenwood leaned off of her with a grimace. "Nothing. She's nothing."
Elise cringed, hurt, and then looked at him again. "Has she been hurting you?"
Havenwood shook his head. "No," He lied deftly, "she hasn't."
"Okay…but if she has…I want to know." Elise stated again. "Even if that is the truth…you're going to have to tell me more sooner or later."
