Hatta nodded. "Alright." He replied, looking at her and waiting.
Hatta nodded. "Alright." He replied, looking at her and waiting.
Alaina put her backpack on and started walking to the right. She looked over at Hatta, "I really hope I can get my pen back."
Hatta raised an eyebrow. "What do you mean? I'm sure you can." He replied slowly.
"It's my only pen I have," Aliana whispered a little, "If we loop around I'll get it then, if not hopefully it'll be there when we walk back."
"Ah. Alright." Hatta replied. "Why are you whispering?" he arched his eyebrow again, looking at her quizzically.
"Becuase," Aliana said a bit stronger, "I, I don't know. It's just how I was raised."
He frowned. "You don't have to whisper with me." he replied slowly, shaking his head for a moment.
"I," Aliana had a little smile on, "Thank you."
Hatta smiled lightly in return. "Of course." he replied, then started walking again.
Aliana hummed as she turned once more to see the cross path with her pen on the ground. She reached down and picked the pen up, "Looks like we are going around in circles. We may want to head left now."
Hatta sighed. "Hm. Fine." he took a turn, and they went down to the left. He hoped that this wouldn't loop again. That would be annoying.
Aliana followed after him struggling to walk and put her pen away at the same time. She looked up at Hatta, "I'm sorry we ended up in a circle. Hopefully, we don't loop around again."
Hatta shrugged. "It's not your fault, don't apologize." he replied. "And yeah, if we loop again, that'll really suck."
"Yeah," Aliana reached out to run her hand along the wall, "Do you think we'll run into anything dangerous in here?"
Hatta shrugged a little. "I don't know." he replied honestly. "I don't believe so."
"Are you sure?" Aliana asked again. She thought she remembered him saying something dangerous earlier, but it could have been her imagination.
Hatta shrugged. "I don't know for sure. Last time…it varies." he sighed. "I guess we'll see."
"I guess we will," Aliana shrugged. She had so many questions but would keep them to herself.
Hatta sighed quietly as they walked, paying attention to make sure they weren't going in circles again.
Aliana kept her hand on the wall loving the feeling of the smooth stone beneath her fingertips. She made a tiny yelp when the stone suddenly got rough and jagged when they turned a corner and she pulled her hand off the wall.
Hatta frowned. "What's wrong?" he asked, looking at her carefully. "Are you alright?"
Aliana looked down at her hand. She could see the blood slightly oozing out of the small cuts now made along it. She clenched her hand into a fist wincing at the slight pain. She forced a little smile on her facce, "I'm fine. Just wasn't expecting the wall to turn rough."
Hatta frowned a little, and carefully touched the wall. "Hm." he replied. "Don't touch it anymore."
"I won't," Aliana said still holding her now injured hand, she could wrap it up later. For now they should keep going.
Hatta nodded a little, frowning slightly. "Alright. Good." he replied. He took a deep breath, and continued walking.
